Speech Bubble using Silhouette Cameo

Hi there Everyone,

Nope didn't fall of the face of the earth just taking a bit of a break to get things in my craft studio organized some. Just got the Avery Elle pockets in today and got all my dies and clear stamps sets in them. Just need to label them. I am shocked to see how much less room they take up. Yay... great buy.

Yes the card you are seeing was on here before but I have been wanting to make a video on creating the speech bubble and finally got around to do it. I had tried twice before. Now my phone never ring because of using texting or email that sort of stuff but don't you know both times I started this video the phone rings. Finally the third time was a charm. So below the card is the You Tube video showing you how to make your own speech bubble using the Silhouette Cameo.

Oh and don't forget to keep your little cut outs of the words to use on something else. That is what I did with the word fun. I made a speech bubble and used the word FUN for this card.

I hope you find the video helpful. I would love to see what you create trying this out.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Bad to the Gills

Hello again,

Two days in a row. Mark this on the calendar. LOL

Ok, a few weeks ago I won a challenge over at Digi Galore (thanks ladies) and the prize was images from Simply Betty. I had seen some projects done using the stamps but never really had the chance to check them out. Well I have to say boy did I have a hard time picking out what I wanted for the prize. LOL Of course I went back and purchased the other that were on the wish list. So that lead me to find Simply Betty's facebook group. Wow, lots of fun activity there. She was having a give away for an image but you had to use it in the challenge. You got to pick good or evil of the mermaids. At first I picked good but change it real quick to evil. I thought Oh I am going with something different.

I had so much fun coloring this and giving it a little bit of evil. Although I think she looks more a little more on the evil seductive side. LOL

I have colored her with my copics. But I thought she need more so I added distress stickles to her scales. I love stickles. I think it is one of my favorite ways to dress up a card.

Because I wanted this to have a lot of dimension I need seaweed. Ok so I check my cut files. Nah nothing. So I looked at what I had in my stash. Ok opened a bag of Christmas florals that I bought a couple of years ago. So I pulled of two piece of what was shiny silver. Broke out my air compressor for my copics and had at it. Boom they matched. Yay.

The verse also came with the digi image and it so perfect. I thought the paper went well with it cause the distressed look kind of reminds me of bubbles . Ok I have went on long enough. Thanks so much for stopping by and checking my Out side of my comfort zone project. Be sure and stop over to Simply Betty and check out her images. She really has some really fun image.

Hello Friend

Hello Friends,

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. Are you staying cool where you are?

Today I have a card for you that is for a special friend. I am using another one of Sassy Cheryl's adorable images. I just love here images. Going to purchase another one here shortly. So look out another one coming up. LOL

She is colored with my Copics. Of course she is cut out using my cameo along with her mat she is one. The heart banner is also a cut file. I added stickle hearts inside of the little hearts. The hearts that are scatter around are the pieces from the cut file with some glossy accents on them. She also has some stickles on the bottom of her dress as well. I love stickles. LOL

She has a little pink pearl on her flower. The Hello Friend stamp is one of my favs from Michaels $1 bin.

I have a couple more cards to post throughout the week. I got time to sit down and create this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my card today.

Honoring the flag

Happy Friday Everyone,

I was going to post this yesterday but they day got away from me and next thing I knew it was after midnight. So I thought I would play the "day late dollar short" card. LOL

I have a Sassy Cheryl card(s) to share with you today.

I thought these were such adorable images. You can get them here. You can buy them as a group or each one by them self.

I colored these with my copics. Isn't that flag so perfect they way it is waving in the wind.

I added the clouds with my copic BG000 and template I have from Rosie's Roadshow. I love it.

The "Happy" I cut out with my Cameo. The July 4th is a Studio G stamp. The punches I used for punching it out are from Stampin Up. Some red, white and blue bakers twine of course perfect for it. Not to mention the red, clear and blue star rhinestones.

I tried something a little different with her little shirt. I gave it a "watercolor" look.

Did you notice the little lady bugs on each of them. Too cute.

Hope you have enjoyed the cards. Thanks for stopping by today.

Summer Fun

Hello all,

How is everyone holding out now that summer is officially here in the states. It has been a hot week so far where I am. And rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast for the next week. Guess not much floating on an swim ring around here much. But don't you just love this cute Sassy Cheryl image. She is so ready for a nice hot summer day.

I have colored her with my copics. I air brushed the water then added waterfall stickles to it for a little sparkle. The sky is created with a template I have and BG-000.I have a little bit of everything happening on this card. My papers are digi papers from Sherry K. The flip flops are a "charm" silhouette cut file. I added some cute flower bling I have had for years to the straps. I remember as a kid you could get those rubber flip flops with the big flowers on them.

The "summer" speech bubble I created on my cameo super easy. I also cut the words "FUN" out to add. See a lot going on. Of course since she has some cute blinged flip flops I had to give her swim suit some sparkle bling too with cotton candy stickles. Her swim ring was given polka dots using a white sharpie. And I couldn't not add some pearls to match. LOL

I had fun creating this card. Sassy Cheryl creates some really fun images to work with..

Of course as a kid I would always end up with pink cheeks from the sun so I had to add a bit more pink on her cheeks even added a bit on her arms and legs.

Thanks for stopping by today.

M*I*C*K*E*Y

Hello everyone,

I hope your week is off to a good start. I am a real set of cuties for you today as well as a new Cameo video. I got these image a while back from Sassy Cheryls. I am not a big Disney fan but I just loved these images. I found some other Disney items to go with them.

I have colored this little cuties with my copics. They have been cut out using my Cameo. The frame behind them was one that was designed by a member of a FB group I am on with the cameo. I offset the frame so that I could do red and black. See below for my video I made on how to make mats for you digi images on your Cameo.

I found the little Mickey ears "pearls" online from Joann's they were perfect.

The funny thing is the little verse "let the magic begin" I found in my rubber stamp while going through some of them to put up for sale. How perfect is that verse for these images. I also scattered a few black pearls on the card to give a little more balance.

Can you just see this card as a birthday card or to put with a gift of a Disney movie or better yet tickets to one of the Disney Theme parks for Summer Vacation. I am going to put this one up in my Etsy shop. I hope you have enjoy the card as much as I did making it. It just came together very well.

Be sure and check out the video below if you have wanted to know how to make the matting that I put behind my images. I have had the video made for a while now just haven't posted it. Hope it is helpful for someone.

Wedding Couple Circle Step Card

 Happy Wednesday,

Hope everyone is well. Well this is June and that is normally the time we are invited or see a lot of weddings happening. My card today is one that I created a circle step card on the Silhouette Cameo after a friend asked if I could do this rather than having to cut this. So Kim and Joann this is for you. I will have the files at the end of this post for anyone who would like them. This was fun to try and make and was happy that it turned out.

The image is a Mo's Digital Pencil Too image. The couple are colored with my copics. You can't see it all that well but the brides dress has Stardust stickles on it. The funny thing is the flowers on the back of the dress are a pale pink but darn if you can see that in the photo.

As with the card base the layers and flourishes were cut using my cameo. The image and mat were also cut with the cameo as well.

The verse is one that I have had for years by Stampin Up. I did use a spellbinders die to cut that out with. I did break out my embossing folders and used one of my spellbinder folders that is reversible to emboss the white layers

The black "pearls" are really a glitter pearl. I don't often us flowers but this beauty was one I purchased from the Dollar Tree a couple years back. So I did use some of my "stuff" from my stash and stopped hoarding it. LOL

Here are the files for you to download. One file is a 7 inch version and the other a 6 inch version. Now there is one step you will need to break out the scissors for but just a little snip and it will take care of it. Below are the pictures showing what you will need to do once you fold your card. Some may not care but some may want to do this.

As you can see when you do the fold there is a little over hang on the circle now. You can take your scissor and trim using the circle to guild you.

See just a little snip

And this is what it will look like after you have snipped that piece off.
If you are using the layering pieces for the steps, you will need to shorten the side a tad because you have removed this piece.

I hope if you have a Silhouette you will give this a try. Much easier than measuring and cutting by hand. LOL

Polka Dots

Hello Everyone,

I know it's been a bit since I posted but I have been in a major organizing mode. I feel like I am getting a lot done but still much more to do. But today I do have a card for you. This is for the new challenge that has just been posted over at MayzyArt.

Theme this time around is Polka Dots. I have to say I started out with a different thought in mind for the polka dots but ended up doing something different but I am so happy with the way it came out.

I am using a file I purchased from The Cutting Cafe for use with my Cameo. I just thought it was so fun.
I changed the word to ice cream to make it fit.
If you can see the inside a bit you will notice it is polka dots. When I put that on the front just did not work but it was all good cause I think her shirt looks adorable with the added polka dots. Darn I wish I could find one that looks like it. Very cute. Of course I didn't have an ice cream cone file I could use so I made my own on the Cameo. I have added some sparkle to the ice cream to give it the sprinkle look. Yummy Ice Cream.

Now this is Mallory she is enjoy a stroll and some chocolate ice cream while waving to someone.
She is available in Mayzy's shop along with all kinds of other fun images. I have colored her with my Copics.

I think most will agree that eating some ice cream is a great way to keep calm. LOL

I hope you will stop by and check out my fellow DT members projects.
And don't forget to see who the winners are from the last challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to have a new video up very soon on working with the Cameo.  Maybe even a new file too.

Sweet Berries

Hello Everyone,

I hope all are having a wonderful weekend. Notice I didn't say had a wonderful week. Well here in the states it is Memorial Day weekend and many have tomorrow off. The unofficial start of summer so to speak. Everyone flocked to the beaches this weekend. Oh the traffic around here.

Ok on to my card for MayzyArt challenge. The theme this time around is Sweets. Of course most think candy and cakes I went with sweet & juicy strawberries and what better image than this one of Mayzy's. This was an exclusive image for TTCRD magazine about a year ago.

I have colored her with my copics but I wanted something a little more than a card so I found this fun cameo cut file for a strawberry basket by Doodling Debbie in her Silhouette Plus forum Here  But don't forget to check out her blog too. She is very talented and is a wiz with the Cameo.

She even included the strawberry paper too. I found the strawberry sign on google. I was very please with how this all came together.

I hope you will join us over at MayzyArt for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mayzy's Amazing May Blog Hop

Hello Everyone,

So glad that you have stopped by today. I have something special for you. MayzyArt is having a May blog hop. There is a fun game she is doing as well so you will have to collect all the secret words along the way.  Mayzy gave the DT's an opportunity to invite guest DT's to join along in the blog hop.
The hardest part of this was picking out an image to use. Mayzy has so many fun images to use. But I wanted to use one that I could get creative with using the step card. By they way make sure you check at the bottom of this post. I have a video on making this card that so many people make but I have also created a cut file sorry it's just for the Silhouette Cameo but it will be located in the video description as well as below the video.

This sweetie is Jean, and she is holding a birthday cupcake for that special birthday girl.
I have colored her with my Copics. I also cut her and the mat for her from the Cameo.

The paper is from Sherry K digi collection I picked up from her Etsy Store. She has some really cute papers. And many times they are on sale. I like the bright cheery colors that she has.

I went to town cutting out candles. I love this and the funny thing is they came with the Cameo software who knew.. lol I backed them with the sticker paper and added glitter to match each of the cut out parts of the candles. The Happy Birthday is also a Cameo file.

Now I have to tell you I didn't have charms before but I have found a shop called The Charm Store 24/7 and she was very fast at shipping. She has some of the cutest charms around.

Here is the Silhouette Cameo cut file for download

Oh I guess you would like to know the Secret word for my part of the blog hop.
It is DREAMER

Now in case you have stopped here out of the blog hop order I have listed them below if you are right on track then you next stop will be Candy's blog

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have enjoyed what I have for you today and will give this card a try. Enjoy the rest of your stops.
