Hello Friend

Happy Tuesday Everyone,
So glad that you stopped by today. Hope all is well with everyone.

Today I have for you a new challenge over at Through the Craftroom Door Magazine. With a great sponsor this week.

Yes, we have Whimsy Stamps this week as our sponsor. They have provided the DT with images to create with and wow, I hope you will stop over to the blog and check out my fellow DT's creations.

Isn't she adorable. I have colored her with my Copic markers. I added a few clouds to the background but they are a little hard to see in the photo.

The Hello Friend stamp is one from Michael's dollar bin. I love that stamp and used it so many times.

I added a bit of stickles to her bows.

I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge. Please remember to read the rules before entering the challenge.

The new issue of the magazine is being worked on now. If you are not a subscriber yet, click here for information on how to subscribe and get in on all the fun projects and digis the magazine has to offer.

Easter Egg Hunt

Happy Friday Everyone,

The start of another weekend is upon us. Woo Hoo.

With it being Friday that bring another challenge over at The Outlawz Copic/ProMarker group.

This weeks challenge is Anything goes. So I went with an Easter card. Easter is a bit earlier this year than most so I thought I would start.

This is a Mo's Digital Pencil image. By the way our prize this month for one lucky entry is a $15 gift certificate to Mo's. This is the last challenge for the month to try and win that prize.

I have colored the image with my copics. I think the frame really makes this card. It is by birdscards.com. She has so many cut files for the Cameo and other machines. I cut this one out with different tones of purple.

Just a little bit of pattern paper on this one by Prima in their Firefly collection. That paper pad is just beautiful. I added a little polka dotted purple ribbon for a little texture.

Of course, she just wasn't complete without a little bit of stickle on her dress, basket bow and hair flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you over at The Outlawz.

And the Award goes to.......

Hello All,

It is Saturday and this is the week that brings a new challenge over at MayzyArt. Mayzy has some of the best images out there. I just love working with them as well as with Mayzy.

The theme this time around is Musical.

I went a little different.

I am using Prom Annette

Annette is a new and up and coming singing artist. And this year she was invited to attend the Grammy awards. So she is all decked out in her beautiful blue gown.

The die cuts were done with my Cameo. The old phonograph to represent the award itself. The music notes for of course the music and the awards and background done in the ruby shimmer paper to represent the "Red Carpet". Oh and I added a little ribbon just for some more elegance.

I have colored Annette with my Copics. Doesn't she look like she has stopped on the "Red Carpet" to be photographed like they do on all the award shows.

I hope you will join us at the MayzyArt Musical Challenge

Thanks for stopping by.

Rainbow Bridge

Happy Friday,

Woo Hoo the weekend is here. Anyone have any special plans? Me not too much.

I do have a special card for you today. The Outlawz CPC group challenge this weeks is Sympathy. Well I have the great verse stamp that I have had for years that I wanted to use.

I think most of us know that our pets are a babies. They are part of the family. When one passes and moves to Rainbow Bridge it is as if part of our hearts are gone. I remember when I saw this verse I just had to have it as I know so many with pets.

The verse is by DRS Designs I purchased many years ago but they still sell it here. The doggie is by a stamp company call CC Stamps who I don't believe is any longer in business very sad as she had some great stamps and videos.

I don't normally do CAS type of cards because they don't come easy to me. I guess I like to embellish. LOL But I did for this as I wanted to stay focused on the images. I colored the doggie with my Copics adding in a little texture for his fur.

The layer of card stock I used was a very dark blue but comes up black. I guess I should have just went with black because I had to hunt that blue down in my stash of cardstocks.

There not a lot to say about this card other than I am very pleased with my CAS attempt.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you will stop over and join us at The Outlawz this week.

Bear Hug

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to our weekly challenge over at Through the Craftroom Door Magazine.

This week we are being sponsored by QKR Stampede and this cutie is one of theirs.

I thought this was so cute with the little "kiss" on his face. I have colored with my Copic markers. I have used some of my favorite Copic red combos. My all time favorite is the one I used on his shirt. R 37,46,59 and E 18. I love the richness it gives.

The papers are from K and Company. I thought they were perfect for this. The LOVE and HUG embellishments are from The Dollar Tree. They have some great things for cardmaking even if not marketed for such. The little glitter heart is from Making Memories.

I have added stickles to parts of his vest and bow. The heart box of candy has glossy accents on it.
I created the texture of fur on the bear using a piece of wash cloth and rubbing alcohol applied lightly to remove a bit of the color thus creating the texture.

If you haven't checked out the latest issue of Through the Craftroom Door Magazine. Check out my Sneak Peek of the Jan/Feb issue there is lots of good stuff there. Click Here to view.

Valentine's Day here I come!

Happy Friday Everyone,

Wow, it seems like many on the east coast are getting hit big time with snow. Right now we are rain but snow is suppose to be here later tonight. But nothing like what is to hit the New England states. Everyone please stay safe.

Well to perk up all that white stuff The Outlawz Copic/ProMarker challenge is seeing red. Red for Valentines. Yes, that is the theme this week Valentines. We can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

My card today is using an image that Artist Krista Smith offered as a freebie from her Saturated Canary shop the other day. And what a cutie it is.

She was really fun to color with my Copics. I used some of my favorite colors of reds on this card. I love what Krista does with hair on her images. I love adding texture to the hair. So fun. Her and Mayzy are two of my favs when it comes to images because of that.
I have a lot happening on this card but it's all fun.

My papers are from those Martha Stewart Valentines papers I got last year. I love them. Now because they are not a 6x6 pad I ended up using a pink card base and stamped tiny hearts all over it. It's kinda of hard to see but they are there. Of course I had to use that beautiful red glitter paper.   I am all about anything red. Gee do you think Red is my fav? :-)

I love the fun felt heart ribbon I found at Target a couple of weeks ago. I added a little crystal stickles to her heart pony tail holders and around the ruffles of the hearts. Glossy Accents were also added to the heart centers. The LOVE glitter is a 3-d sticker from the local Dollar Tree.
I used my Stampin up punches and stamps that go with it for the verse. I was very happy with the outcome of this card. I hope you like it too.
Stop over to The Outlawz today and check out my fab DT mates cards they are so cute. And Carla will be offering to one lucky winner a $15 Mo's Digital Pencil certificate.
So what are you waiting for?

Beansie Doodles is new in town

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Guess what? It's time for another MayzyArt challenge. Well this time around we have a little bit different twist. The challenge is being sponsored by Mayzy's friend and digi artist Sherraldine. Her shop is just getting started but she already has some fun images in there. Here shop is called Beansie Doodles.  If you love Mayzy's stamps your are going to love Sherraldine's as well.

Sherraldine gave us the opptunity to pick an image from her shop to work with. I saw Diner Girl Garna and thought of the old show Alice and where she worked Mel's diner. I thought right away of this glittery paper that I have had for a year or so now with the shakes, coffee and goodies on it. It's from the Nana's Kitchen paper pad by DCWV. I added a little pink gingham (sorry don't remember who it is made by) to the top. A little pink ribbon between the papers for some texture.  I cut out the Shakes, Burgers and coffee cups with my Cameo.  I air brushed the words with my copics.

Garna is colored with my copics. I added a little puff paint and heated it for the whipped cream on the shake. Not sure that she would say Kiss My Grits the way that Flo did on the series but I think she would give a warm welcome by offering to take your order.

This image could be used on just a about any type of card from a birthday to a thinking about you.

I hope you will join us at the MayzyArt challenge this time around and be sure to stop by Sherraldine's shop and welcome her to the digi world. Oh and check out Mayzy's shop for a special discount code to Sherraldine's shop.

Birthstone

Hello Everyone, I do hope everyone has had a good week and is looking forward to a nice weekend.
I am bringing you a card I made for our challenge over at The Outlawz Copic/Promarker challenge this week.

The challenge this week is your birthstone.
If you haven't guessed it mine is October. So I could go with Pink or Opal.
I have the pink flowers but its are to see but there is stickles within the heart and parts of the ribbon.

The stamp is a very old stamp and the company that it is by Endless Designs I don't believe is in business any longer. They had some really pretty stamps. I do have a good number of them from when the attended stamp convention. They also did a video on the floating color technique. It was quite good. But none of that here. I have colored it with my Copics.

The leaf die cut is one from Stampin Up I believe Sizzix makes it. I air brushed some white flowers that I had. I have also use a piece of very old printed vellum that I have had for gosh at least 15 years.

I dotted the babies breath with a white glaze pen. I think it came out very well.
Part of the roses are stamped and cut again to make part of them 3-D.

This card is a little bit out of the norm for me. I hope you like it and will come join us for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.
