Blue Bird Singing

Hello everyone,

How is your week going so far. Wow it's Tuesday already. That mean another challenge over at TTCRD for another wonderful prize.

This week we have Nicecrane Designs as our sponsor.

This are fun images to work with. They are somewhat vintage looking. The remind me of older type of magazines such as Saturday Evening Post. Not really Norman Rockwell but that type of image. Hope you will play along for your chance to win from Nicecrane so that you can try and see what you think.

For my image I went with some soft pastel colors. I have colored her with my copics.

I have used a Cheery Lynn die cut along with a quickutz circle dies. I added a piece of stitched ribbon from my stash. A few pearls to match for a little 3-D on the card.

The Happy Birthday and Modern Label punch are from Stampin Up and were Christmas gifts this past Christmas and is the first card I have used them on. Love them!

A Christmas Twist

Hello there and Happy Friday,

We are expecting a small snow storm here this afternoon into the evening. 1-3 inches. Humm I was hoping for that at Christmas. What no white Christmas. Oh well. Since we are having snow look I have a Christmas card. What I know you think I have lost it. Which yes some may already think that. LOL

It is for our challenge over at The Outlawz CPC this week. We have a twist of Christmas. This was an idea to help everyone get a little jump start on your Christmas card making for 2013. We will have this the last Friday of the month so be ready.

My image today is one by Kenny K. She is a little up how can we say it "curvy" Yea that's a good word. This is a new stamp that I just got and have been wanting to try it out. I have also stamped white snowflakes on the "inside" of the card using white stazon and snowflakes from Stampin Up.

I have colored her with my copics. The glitter is glamour dust that is on her fur trims. Please excuse the photos I had a hard time getting a good shot of this card for some reason. I must have taken a good 50 shots.

The card is a free cut file from Birdscards.com. She has some of the best files she does. She also has digital stamps as well. The Merry and Bright is a cut file from Silhouette store that I have embossed with Stampin Up's heat and stick powder and then added glitter and heat set. I really like this powder because it works unlike the other 3 jars of the same type of stuff but different brands that I ended up tossing.

My paper is from Basic Grey Nordic Holiday paper pad. I have also used Kraft cardstock to layer it and add to the inside of the card.
The snow flakes are cut from a cuttlebug die and covered with glamour dust.

I hope you will stop over and join in on the fun.

Pink and Bling it up!

Hi there,

A while back I was asked to be a Guest DT for Oozak's challenge. What a great honor. Rusty has some of the best items in his store. I pretty much completed my copic collection through his store.

So I have today my card for the challenge which is Anything Goes but with pink and bling. Oh fun.

So my card is made using a fabulous MayzyArt image California Rolls. She is colored with my Copics

I have added bling in a few different ways. One of my favs star dust stickles to her shirt.
I have some glitter hearts from Making Memories as well as some glitter pink pearls over some of the dots in the paper.

The circle and scallop circle is cut using my QuicKutz dies.
Some ribbon from my stash.

The papers are from My Mind's Eye Dwell and Echo Park Spring Time paper pads.

Stop on by and join in on the fun at Oozak.

Favorite color combo

Hi there,

Today I bring you a card that I did for a Guest Designer spot for CMC. There challenge this time around is your favorite color combo.

Well I love reds and I think cream just accents it so much. So I think that is my favorite color combo.

The stamp I used is by La La Land Crafts. I have colored her with my copics.
I was very happy with how the hair came out on this one.

I added some stickles to the hearts she is holding. A few pearls for some accent.

The papers are from a Martha Stewart collection I purchased last year after Valentine's day.
The LOVE stamp is by Studio G. The red heart is felt.
Some red seam binding for the ribbon.

I hope you like the card and will stop over to CMC and join in on the fun. The prize will be one of Marti's classes. See you there.

Romance is in the air!

Hi there and Happy Saturday.
Today there is two special things happening.
First Happy 30th Birthday to Mayzy the talent behind MayzyArt.
That brings me to the second thing. A new challenge is up over at MayzyArt.

The theme this week ROMANCE

This stamp is Princess Ida
Doesn't she just look like she just walked in to where her Prince has set things up for a romantic dance?

I used my old now retired Slice machine on these cut outs. Since the Cameo not much looking back. I added a few pink pearls in a flower formation to each side of Romance.

She has been colored with my Copics.

The papers are by Echo Park Be Mine collection. I have used this pad a good bit. So much so that is fell apart. LOL

I hope you will stop by and join us for the challenge this time around. Mayzy offers some wonderful prizes. Be sure and stop by and check out my fellow DT's beautiful creations including our two new DT's Lizzy and Erin. Oh and don't forget to wish Mayzy a Happy Birthday too!

Happy Birthday Mayzy

That's right Mayzy has a birthday on Saturday. So a big wonderful Birthday wish to a special person, a talented artist and all around fun person.

So with today's challenge on The Outlawz we have Milestone Birthdays. Surely you have someone you need to make a Milestone birthday card for. Now is your chance to get started on them.  Heck it seems this year there are a lot of milestone  birthdays happening, 30th, 50th and 60th. Ok I guess I should get moving. LOL

My card today is one of Mayzy's fun images. I have colored her with my Copics and given her a bit of bling with a stickles covered skirt and some glittery half pearls.

I have cut the Happy Birthday, Mayzy and 30 out with my Cameo. I added little white dots then air brushed them.  I love the effect.

I hope you will join us for our challenge over at The Outlawz. And that you will stop over at Mayzy's blog and wish her a very happy birthday.

With it being Tuesday that mean another challenge over at Through the Craft Room Door.

This weeks sponsor is Oozak with a $10 gift certificate. Rusty has lots a cool must have goodies in his shop. And with CHA winding down you know he will add lots more new and fun things too.

My card today is made with a LaLa Land Craft stamp. They are really fun stamps to color.
I am going to send this card to a friend who has retired and can now travel and visit all she wants to with her family and friend.

The image of course is colored with my beloved Copics.
I have cute the image and the shadow backing out with my Cameo

My papers are from the World Travler paper pad by Teresa Collins. I liked the more muted tones so that the image popped off the card better.

Mayzy Is BACK

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Guess What????

Mayzy Challenges is back. WOO HOO.

And to bring it back in style Mayzy is making this challenge Anything Goes.

Have you seen some of the new images in the store? Oh they are so fun. Don't forget she has moved her store to MayzyArt.

This is one of the BRAND NEW images. She is called Shopaholic.
When I saw her I thought of all the after Christmas sales that are going on to clear out all the stock for the new spring items coming in.

No that is not photo copied money. LOL It is some little pads of money (don't we wish it came that way) that I found in the party section years ago I am going to guess 1995. It is really fun to use on cards.

I colored Ms. Shopaholic with my copics. I added a little stickles to a couple of the shopping bags. Like I say a girl has to have a little bling even if it's with her shopping bags.

I have cut her as well as the signs out with my cameo.

I am so excited that Mayzy is back. I sure hope all of you are too. She gives two prizes. One is a random draw and the other she picks from everyone who uses a MayzyArt stamp. Stop by HERE and check out my fellow DT's creations oh they are so cute and join us for the fun.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Today's card I have used two very old stamps from a company called DOTS however they are no longer around by that name they are now Close to my Heart. This stamp goes back to my demo days for DOTS which was in the 90's . This is one of my go to stamps for baby cards. It is just too cute.

The "baby block" border was cut using my Cameo as well as the "baby cloud".

The paper is by Sassafras Sweetly Smitten collection.

Stickles has been added to the stars and clouds. The Bundle of Joy ribbon is some self adhesive ribbon I have had for years.
