Dotted Background Video

Hello there,

I have a video tutorial that I have just finished uploading to You Tube. The video is on how I create a dotted background to add texture to my images. I am using dye based inks and rubber stamps to do this. Below the video are samples of the card I created with the image from the video.

You will notice that I did go ahead and added some more sponging around the image as I was explaining in the video.

The image is by Saturated Canary.

I have colored my image with Copic markers in purple and gray tones.

I have used My Minds Eye So Sophia Collection.

I have used the technique I show in my video above the photos to create the texture around the image.

I do hope you will give this a try it is a fun and easy way to add a little something to your card.
Thanks for stopping by to have a look today.

Guess What? Calendar Time!

Hello Everyone,

Well you guessed it! Time for another edition of the calendar page over at The Outlawz .

We have another calendar page for you to download. This time it is March 2013.

And yes Easter is in March for 2013. I almost made a big mistake and made it April. Thank goodness. My fellow team mate on The Outlawz caught it.

I think this is my favorite Stella page so far. This is a riot. Can you just hear her tone when she would say Do I look warm and fuzzy? Of course this is Bugaboo Stella. Gotta love her.

She is colored with my copics.

My paper is some very old paper that I believe was the fancy stationary paper you use to be able to pick up at Staples and Office Depot. I love those jelly beans. I don't have very much left of it and I am sure they no longer make it. :-(

Do you like her bunny tail? Little tiny cotton ball that is from a chalk set I have. Fit perfect.

I put a little glitter on her eggs in the basket but just couldn't get it to show up well in the photo.

I do hope you will join us and remember you can always get the previous months calendars.

I know I have been have a blast making these. I hope you have enjoyed seeing them. See you over at the challenge.

Cutie Pie

Hello Everyone,

Hope you have been having a nice weekend.

I have had a pretty good one. I got to try out one of my digi stamps that was from Saturated Canary's latest release. Is this a cutie pie. I love the face on this one. It is called Murray.

I have colored her with my Copics. The papers are from a very old paper pad. I thought the colors were perfect for this stamps.

I used my Lifestyles dies to cut the scallop circles to make the card base. I also used my ovals for the image and border around the image. I cut the swirls with my Cherry Lynn die ( I have cut up two of them and used throughout the card.

The Happy Easter is a Studio G stamp. Gotta love those little stamps they really come in handy.

Of course I had to add some pretty white pearls.

I hope that you have enjoyed my card today. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit today.

Inspired by a book, movie or song at The Outlawz

Happy Friday Everyone,

Hope you had a great week. Anything special planned for the weekend? Going to read a good book or maybe watch a movie how about listen to your favorite music.

We have just the challenge for you this week over at the Copic/Pro Marker challenge. Yup, this week create something that is inspired by a book, movie or song using your Copics or Pro Markers. Don't forget to tell us what book, movie or song has inspired your creation.

My card today is another faboulous Krista Smith image from Saturated Canary. This is Zorana A Gypsy Dancer. My card is inspired by the song Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac. It could also work for Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves by Cher.

I have colored her with my Copics. I love the hair on Krista's images. The papers that I have used are by S.E.I.. I also got the chance to use a new Slice card I had recently purchased for the music notes.

I added a little brown twine and some brown pearl for some texture to the card.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today and invite you to join in our challenge this week. Just remember your card must be new (never appearing before you post to the challenge) and colored using copics and or pro makers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Clean and Simple at TTCRD

Hi There,

Well we go from one holiday to the next. Good old St. Patty's Day. Are you Irish or just Irish for the day.

The challenge over at TTCRD is to make a clean and simple card but it must include a sentiment. Not too hard. Well for some it is not too hard. I don't normally do clean and simple but I am really happy with how this came out.

I used just Studio G $1.oo stamps. I stamp the 3 shamrocks then stamped and embossed another one with a clear glitter embossing powder. I then raised it up on a foam dot. I also stamped the Happy St. Patty's Day in the same color as the shamrocks.

I layered the white cardstock on some gold then again onto the white card.

I hope that you will join us over at TTCRD for our CAS challenge.

LOVE

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. It's been snowing on and off today just enough to make a mess. Can't wait for spring.

Only 3 days till Valentines day. I have a cute card for you today. If you haven't notice, I adore these images by Krista Smith from Saturated Canary. If you like these images you should check out her shop.

This is a Thank You image that she gave a while back when you placed an order. Isn't she so cute.
I have colored her using my copics. I tried a new color combo on the hair that my DT lead over at The Outlawz Lynne gave me. I really like it. The color combo is E50,51,53,55,57 not too much of the E51 and just a very little of E57. Thanks Lynne

My papers are from K and Company.
The glitter heart embellishments and the love sticker are from Making Memories.
I added a little pink and red bakers twine for some more whimsy.

I broke out my Martha Stewart heart punch border then placed it on a piece of red cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by to have a peek. Happy Valentines Day to all!

Hello Everyone,

Well that special day is coming up. Yup Valentine's Day! Do you remember as a kid when you couldn't wait to buy that box of little valentine cards that you use to sit down and write out to everyone at school. Do they even still do that in school?

Today I have a Valentine card for you. I was really happy with how this card came out. The image I have use is by Krista Smith owner of Saturated Canary. I just love her images. They are so fun to color not to mention just so darn cute too.

This image just looks like she is saying to her mom "but I need more stuff for my cards".

This week over at The Outlawz we have a special treat my fellow DT mate Dawn has a tutorial for you. We over of the CPC challenge are going to be adding some tutorial to our challenges as well. We want to keep it interesting for you. So along with the Calendar option we will have the tutorials. Dawn is doing our first tutorial. It's Mardi Gras over at The Outlawz CPC challenges

Happy Friday to you,

It's time for another challenge over at The Outlawz CPC group. Break out the party gear and beads this weeks theme is Mardi Gras. So what do you do for Mardi Gras. Well party and use the colors of Gold, Purple and Green.

My image is by Make it Crafty. I have colored her with my copics in gold, purple and green. I made my green background with a "party" and "celebrate" stamp just stamping all over using versa mark pad. I have added some glittery ribbon in green and gold and some purple pearls. This was a super fun card to make.

I can't say that I have ever been to Mardi Gras but have a friend that grew up in the area and enjoys the festivities and has talked about them.

I hope you break out those green, purple and gold combo markers along with your Mardi Gras beads and join us for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look today.

The Doctor is In

Hi there all you Gilli fans. I am here today sharing a card with you for The House of Gilli theme of LOVE. What a great theme and will help you get ready making your Valentine’s cards. But first I want to wish Gilli creator and friend anaRy a Very Happy Birthday today.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

If you have a Gilli stamp we sure would love to see what you can come up with. If not that’s ok too. We love to see what everyone comes up with for the LOVE challenge.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I have Gilli Doc stamp and started looking at it. anaRy is always encouraging you to work with the stamp make it your own. So I got thinking about my all time favorite cartoon. I am going to guess there a few of you out there that know which one I am talking about. So I thought ok let’s make Gilli a doctor of love. I guess you can say one of the Advise column gals. I paper pieced Gilli’s shirt and colored the rest with copic’s. I omitted her stethoscope. I then built here “Advise” booth. I cut some brown cardstock and embossed with a little alpha stamp set from Studio G. I used toothpicks that I colored with my copics for the booth sides.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I cut a couple of hearts out and ran them through my cuttlebug swiss dots folder for some texture. I hope that my card has inspired you to join the challenge this week. Thanks for stopping by today.

Valentine's for Males at TTCRD but NO PINK

Hi there everyone,

Are you ready for another challenge? This one is over at TTCRD. This is a good challenge. You know so many struggle with a "man" card. This challenge is being sponsored by Dude Time Doodles. The were so kind to draw a special image for our DT to use for the challenge.

This guy has it bad. His heart is just popping out of his shirt. The challenge is to make a "man" Valentine's card but you cannot use pink. So I went with purple.

The papers are from Nikki Sivils Sugar Cookie Collection. I cut the Love You with my slice and added some sparkle with my glitter pen. I am on a bakers twine kick. I love it. So I just added a little.
I hope you will join us for this challenge. And as always thanks for stopping by.

I am entering this in the following challenge.
