Punch Wreath

Happy Friday to all,

This is just a very simple card. I punched about 15 or so of the fir from a punch. It's not the Martha Stewart one but one that was out a few years back but I think it is the same design.
I also cut a circle out with two nestibilities dies and then glued the punched pieces on. Before attaching the wreath to the card I sprayed it with homemade glimmer mist. I then took some white pearls and colored with my Copics and attached. Stamped Merry Christmas to the white card attached the wreath and added a double bow made with the Bow Easy.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope everyone is in the holiday spirit.

Snowflake Greetings

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

First off I will say this post is picture heavy.

Here is my Christmas Card for this year that was sent to family and friends. Each card was made with one of two different stamps from the Bildmalarna November stamp club kit from Stampingscrapping.com. The inspiration for this card was from a card project that Kristina Werner of kwernerdesing.com blog. She is also does wonderful You Tube videos for cards. Her You Tube channel is Starofmay . My card inspiration came after I saw one of her 2008 videos and just loved the idea. If you want some great ideas you should check her blog out and subscribe to her You Tube channel. One thing though you will need to purchase a white gel pen after watching all of what she does to embellish her cards using it. J

I used transparency sheets that I got from an office supply store for the base of the card. I stamped the transparency with snowflakes that were from an older Stampin up set using white Staz-on ink. The little girl images are stamped and colored using Copic Markers. The Snowflake Greetings stamp is one that I picked up out of the dollar bin at Michaels. It worked perfect for my card. Rhinestones were added to the small snowflakes in the greeting. This has been one of my favorite cards to make. I normally send different cards to everyone but this year I loved the way this card came out everyone received the same design just in different colors.

These are the three different colors that I did.

Of course with red being my favorite color that was my favorite one.
The punch used for the white trim is a Stampin up punch.

All of the white areas have Sparkle n Sprinkle twinkling clouds flock on them. The flock has a bit of glitter in it. It makes it shine just enough.
Here is the green ones.

And of course the blue ones.

I hope you enjoyed the cards. As I said before I really liked making these cards.

Santa Baby

Happy Monday,

Here is a card that was done with a digi stamp. I'm sorry I don't remember who this was by. Just kind of a funny one. No I did not send this to anyone. Just working on my copic coloring.

I added some rhinestones to her glasses. Shimmer chalks where used over her hair after I colored it.

The background paper was a technique that Gina K showed on her Stamp TV videos.

Holiday Greetings

Happy Sunday,

This is a stamp by DRS Design. Glass glitter by AIG was added to the pinecone. AIG glitter was also used on the circle around the greeting.

This is a slight variation on the other card.

Christmas Candle

Hi Everyone,

This card was done with a DRS Designs stamp and copics. I am still learning but I am liking the effects that I am getting. I added a little black prisma colored pencil and gamsol for added highlights.

The image is cut out with a nestibilities die and layered on another cut out. The patterned paper is something old that I have had in my stash.

Pocket Christmas Card

Hi there everyone,

Here is a cute card to make for a Christmas card or even a gift card holder.
I saw some one on You Tube do this but they used a larger sheet of card stock and I found it to be such a waste so I down sized it a just a bit and you can now make it with just the standard 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of card stock.

With some scraps I cut them with the spellbinders dies and stamped on them. Or you could do one and then put a gift card in the other pocket.
You can adapt this card for just about anything. Christmas, birthday, wedding etc.

Thanks for stopping by.

Candyland

Good Evening,

Here is a digi stamp that I used copic markers to color the image. It is by Stamping Boutique. She is really cute. I did a little highlighting with a black prisma colored pencil and gamsol. I like the way it made it pop.

This is a little closer view. I added some rhinestones and glossy accents to make it sparkle and shine.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Snow Fall

Hi Everybody,

I thought I would start to post some Christmas Cards that I have made over the past few weeks.

The first one is made with a Bildmalarna stamp. The stamp is part of the November kit that was available from Bildmalarna.com. I am not sure if there are any left but you can email Cindy at Stampingscrapping.com. The set is really cute and has 11 full size images plus some smaller ones too.

I used white cards stock as the base of the card. It is layered with silver stardreams text weight silver paper. A Cuttlebug folder was used and then the image was cut using nestibilites. She is colored with Copics. The silver snowflakes are cut using cuttlebug die.

Here she is a little closer.

Thanks for taking a look.

Fall

Hello Everyone,

I do believe fall is upon us. Finally! This card is done with Mo's image Young Love. I love this image. I added a little autumn flower soft for color. The background paper is Apple Cider by Imaginisce. I punched out the leaves and added Pebbles Metallic Cream Chalks to them. The punches are old punches that I had but I used my Power Punch by Punch Bunch . Boy does it make it much easier to punch when you have older stiffer punches. A good friend gave it to me as a Christmas gift and I would not give it up for anything.

I am still working with Copic's I think I am getting the hang of them a little more each time I use them.

I know there are not normally bluebirds out in the fall but I just thought they would add color rather than the gray birds that are mostly around now.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Magnolia fold card

Here is my card for the All That Scraps 3rd Magnolia Challenge. The apple barrel opens and has the word HI inside done with glitter stickers. I am very new to using and building my collection of Copic Markers. This one I went with some more shadowing.

The background paper is Apple Cider by Imaginisce as well as the apple barrel stamp.

This photo show the barrel closed.

This photo shows the barrel open.

This is a close up photo of Tilda.

I love this stamp.

Thanks for checking this out.

Second attempt at Copics

Happy Friday Everyone,

Here is my second attempt at using Copic markers. I think I did better with this one. Baby steps. But I have to say I am enjoying working with them. I will admit I was a skeptical about them but my favorite thing about them is that even after coloring over your image you can still see the stamp details that just didn't happen with the Tombows or Marvey's

This is a Magnolia stamp. Rick said where's the mouth? LOL

I am happy with how the card came out. I even colored my pearls with the copics to match the card.

First attempt at Copic Markers

Happy Fall Weather Everyone,

I took a Copic class that Suzanne Dean was teaching on Saturday. Wow, I have a lot to practice. Suzanne is a wonderful teacher and boy is she good at making those markers do magic.

Here is my first attempt at working with them on my own. This is not the best paper to be working on but I don't think I did to bad. It will take practice as did all of the other stamping mediums I have worked with. Reds are one of the harder colors to work with.

Don't look too close you will find my mistakes ;-)

The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil Too.

If anyone has a chance to take a class with Suzanne, I don't think you will be disappointed.
