Summer Time

Hi there,

Summer time...well not really at least not here. But it getting there. So we thought we would get you in gear for summer with our Summer Challange over at The Outlawz.

Now it time for you to break out your summer themed stamps and show us what you think of for summer. Is it the vacation or maybe cutting the grass or how about the beach. Me I am not much of a summer person, but when I saw this image I thought it was so cute.

The image is by Saturated Canary. This little cutie is all ready for a day at the beach. She has her sunglasses, towel and her sunscreen. I have colored her with my Copics.

I used the dotted background with stamps technique I did my video on. It in the list of my video on the left sidebar. It reminded me of a bunch of water splashes behind her.

The papers are by Fancy Pants. Very summery I thought.

I hope that you will join us this week for our challenge. Break out those flip flops and a tall class of iced tea and start coloring. Remember you image needs to be colored using Copics or Promarkers. Your project also needs to be new No Backlinking (cannot have been posted anywhere prior to this challenge)

Thanks for stopping by today.

May Flowers for Bridal Shower

Hello Everyone,

Is everyone ready for a brand new challenge out in blog land? I sure hope so because I have a wonderful one for you to take a look at. Mayzy from Mazy Art decided to create a Challenge for her blog. The challenge will be every other Saturday. She had a DT call a few weeks back and I was lucky enough to be picked as one of the 6 DT's. I am working with 5 other mega talented DT's. I hope that we will inspire you to join in on the fun and win some of Mayzy's images. They are so fun to color and create with.

Warning: A little picture heavy. :-)

For the first challenge Mayzy selected May Flowers, she put a little spin on her name :-)

I choose to make a few items that you could use for a bridal shower or even the wedding tables.
I am using Lovely Bride by Mayzy. This also come in a set with a groom as well or by himself.

I have colored her with my copics and added stickles to her dress and veil although a little hard to see in the picture.

I used a Cherry Lynn die for the leafy swirl. The papers are from Making Memories Wedding collection 8 x 8 pad. This pad has some of the prettiest papers for use to make wedding cards. The heart topped pins are also from the same collections. The little pink flowers are from A. C. Moore.

I used Cotton Candy Stickles on the pink flowers in her hair dress and bouquet of flowers.
A little hard to see but I also used Viva Decor Pearl pen on her earrings.

The little gift bag is a package I purchased at the local Dollar Tree. They worked perfect for this. And this is one of the best parts about using digital images. You can size them to what you need. The little roses are from I am Roses as is the leaf.

The guest place card is just a piece of plain white card stock cut. I added the swirl and wrote out the name Guest.

I hope that I have inspired you to come join us for Mayzy's first challenge. I can't wait to see what your take on May flowers will be.

Rodeo Roundup

Howdy Partners,

The time has arrived for The Outlawz Rodeo that is taking place in Maryland starting Friday May 18th and going through Sunday May 20. This will be a chance for you to meet some of the Design Team members as well has take some classes with Suzanne Dean and Marti Wills. Oh did I mention there will be prizes. Lots of prizes. The sponsor list is pretty impressive. If you are around the area it's not too far from the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. Check out The Outlawz site for more information. Ok on to my card.

This is a Mayzy Arts image. I think she is so perfect for The Outlawz.
I have colored her with my Copics.

The background paper is Making Memories. It is a self adhesive paper that is in a leather texture. I thought it was perfect for this. The gingham check is tissue paper.

The rope is made with Stampin Up linen thread.
The words and star are cut with my Slice with the Happy Trails card. So perfect for this.

I sure hope you will round up your markers and join us for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lollipops

Hello Everyone,

Is your week off to a good start? Is May flying by or what? I can't believe it is the 15th already. Before you know it Memorial Day will be here.

Today we have a fun challenge for you at Through the Craftroom Door. We have a photo inspiration for you to base your creation off of. Today is also a very special day at TTCRD. This is the day the first issue of the magazine comes out under the new owner Colleen Holmes. Boy are you in for a treat. It is packed full of lots of fun things to inspire you. I have a tutorial in there as well. If you haven't checked out the magazine here is the link for more information.

Ok, on to my card. One of our sponsors the challenge is Gilli Stamps. She provided us with images to use for the challenge if we choose. I am using Gilli Lollipop. Isn't she just adorable?

I have colored her with my Copics. I added a bit of glossy accents to my multi colored lollipop. Gosh I remember those big lollipops that you would get at the candy store at the beach. And sure enough you would start enjoying it and boom right down in the sand it would go because they were so top heavy.

The papers I used are from My Minds Eye Stella and Rose Mabel collection.

I broke out my pennant punch from Stampin up and made the flag banner along with some bakers twine. I also used a Stampin Up border punch for the open scallops.

Thank you for stopping by today and I sure hope you will check out the challenge and the magazine. I think you will be happy you did.

Pretty flowers

Happy Saturday,

We have a beautiful sunny and warm day here for May. Lawn mowers going off all around. The flowers are really in bloom now. All so pretty.

I decided to make a card that would be somewhat flowery.

I am using a Saturated Canary Image. Isn't she beautiful. She has been out picking apples.

My papers are by Prima.
My 3-D embellishment are from my local Dollar Tree. I saw them there and thought they were so pretty that I would give them a try. They have glitter and some have rhinestones.
Not bad for a buck.

I also added a few pearls for color.
She has been colored with my Copics. My clouds were created with a template and BG10.

I hope that my card has added a little bit of sunshine to your day.

Thanks for stopping by.

I have colored her with my copics.

Sorry the paper were some loose pieces that I had and don't remember who they are made by.

I have added a little bit of twine for the texture and some glitter pearls.

The rain has some glaze pen on it to give it a shiny wet look.
I hope you will join us this week for our challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today.

A Little Embossing

Hello Everyone,
I’m here with my card for the challenge over at House of Gilli. This time around the theme is Embossing. This could be embossing with your heat tool and embossing powders or it could be dry embossing maybe your cuttlebug and folders or even embossing a brass stencil. I have to confess I don’t do much embossing. It’s not because I don’t have the supplies or can’t do it, I just don’t do it. So this was a good challenge for me to break out some of my supplies and go for it.
gilli embossed lg
This is Gilli Painter. I love her outfit. She is just splashing design all over. I have embossed some leaves on the DP itself with a violet pearl embossing powder. The verse is also embossed .
gilli embossed right tilt gilli embossed left tilt
I broke out my little air brush set from Copic and air brush the ribbon with the same color family I used for Gilli.

I hope that you will break out what ever means you have for embossing and show us what you create and enter at The House of Gilli. Thanks for stopping by today.

Mother's Day/Much Loved Female

Hi Everyone,

It is time for another challenge over at The Outlawz Copic/Promarker challenge.

This weeks challenge theme is Mother's Day/Much Loved Female. Many of us no longer have our mothers so the challenge is for both Mother's Day or a Much Loved Female your choice.

My card today is using a digi image from our sponsor this month CYDI. She has many artist in her shop. The digi I choose is by none other than our very own talented DT Dawn.

Is this not a cute image? It is really only one elephant but I made one bigger than the other and flipped one so it looks as though the little girl is looking up at her mommy.

The image is colored with my Copics.

My papers are from Deja's View. This pack also included some die cut pieces. The green scallop is from the die cuts. The circles and squares are cut with my Lifestyles dies.

The MOM stamp is an old unmounted stamp that I have had for a long time I would say at least 10 or more years.

The clouds are a little hard to see but I did them with my cloud template and BG10 copic marker.
I hope you will stop by and join us for the challenge and take a look at our sponsors shop CYDI.

Thanks for stopping by.
