Special Birthday Card

Hi there,

My card today was for a very special persons birthday. It was her 60th birthday. Even though it was planned at a park it ended up in the house because again Mother Nature at her finest. She slammed us with more rain that of course had the park a little messy.

All went well though. She was surprised and everyone had a great time.

The image is one by The Paper Shelter.

Look at the chocolate icing. Yummmm... LOL

Colored with my copics. Some different colors of liquid pearls were added as the topping sprinkles on the icing.

The tickets are done with my Paper Trey Ink die and stamp set on acetate with white Staz-on ink. I piece of ribbon and some glitter pearls are added to give it a little something.

I don't normally do the inside of my cards I make until they are ready to be used. This one I masked a couple of stamps to make the present to look like it was behind the other. I added some more tickets. The scallop is a punch and the stamp is by DRS designs to outline the punch.

I hope you enjoyed the card.

I am entering this in The Paper Shelters challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Friday Challenge over at The Outlawz

Happy Friday,

Yep it's Friday again. That means the Copic/Promarker challenge over at The Outlawz.

We changed up a bit this week. Normally the Anything Goes Challenge is the last Friday of the month but not this time... Why? Party time is coming up. So what does that mean for this week. Not too much just this weeks challenge you will have a couple of extra days on it because of the PARTY. Wait till you see what we have in store. We have some very generous sponsors for the party. There is going to be a blog hop, bingo, scavanger hunts, tutorials and much more. If you are not a member just stop on over and join in on the fun Outlawz.

On to my card today. The image is my Make it Crafty. I could not resist all those folds. I think it is becoming one of my new favorite things to color with my Copics.

This one took a little extra time but I was really working those folds. Her skirt hoop at first I thought would be a challenge but then the light bulb went off... Copic multiliner... I know well duh.... should have thought of that. I was so wrapped up in the folds I wasn't thinking. LOL

My DP paper are really old. Way back to the days of D.O.T.S now know as Close to my Heart.

I wanted to keep it simple because I wanted the image to stand out. So just the simple papers and some black pearls oh yea I did add a few roses. :-)

I love the way that is looks as though the dress is moving like she is walking down a runway or toward someone.

Colored with Copic on Copic X-press cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check out this weeks challenge and the upcoming party. Oh there is also an additional chance(s) to win by spreading the word. Check out The Outlawz for more details.

Old Tyme Photo

Hi Everyone,

It's a bit of a rainy day here. Looking and feeling more like fall. I am very happy about that.

My card today is for the challenge over at the CMC site. The challenge is to make an card to remind you of the Old Tyme Photos. Have you ever had one of those done at the beach resorts? We have one. They are fun.

My image is the new image by Silvia Zet made for SCACD. Isn't it just darling.

I have colored her with copics in the earth tones to create the sepia look. The DP are by Memory Box Spiceberry and My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas.

The DP is how I added a "POP" of color which is part of the challenge. Oh yes I added a couple of the pearls to match the DP.

I hope you like the card. Thanks for stopping by to have a look today.

Vintage Christmas

Hi there,

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It was a nice day here today. Cool a little cloudy so could get some yard work done without the heat and humidity this time.

I have to tell you my card today was inspired by Amy from Sweet November Stamps on You Tube or A thousand sheets of paper is her blog. Here copic coloring videos are top notch. She has really been making lots of new videos and they are very helpful.

This is a Tickled Pink image. It is a digi. They only offer their digis for a short time each month. This is Damon but made up to be Scrooge. I have wanted this image every since I saw it and then when they added it to their store and made it available as a digi. Well that just made my day because that means Instant Gratification cause I didn't have to wait for it to be shipped from the UK. :-)

It is are to believe that that story was written back in 1843. Although I do love the movie with Bill Murray called Scrooged. I have colored Damon with my copics.

The DP is from Making Memories Noel Collection. The December 25 stamps are Studio G.

I added a little brown satin ribbon and some brads from Making Memories. I just love how he looks like he is walking off the page.

I am entering this into the Weekly Christmas Card Challenge. The theme is vintage.

Thanks for stopping by today to have a look.

Fantasy Friday at The Outlawz

Happy Friday Everyone,

It's that day again. Not only the end of a work week for many but it's also the Copic/Promarker challenge over at The Outlawz. We have a fun challenge this week. FANTASY. So pull out those fantasy images. Pixies, Fairies, Elf, etc and join in. Let see what you can do with those Copic and Promarkers. Don't forget to check out the other beautiful creations from my CPC teammates. The are a talented bunch of ladies.

My image is by Pollycraft. This was the first time I had seen their images, so I purchased this and other one. I really like them.

She is colored with my Copics. The paper is Memory Box Yuletide collection. The paper are really pretty in this collection.

The Snowflake Greetings stamp is one from Michaels $1 bin. I have gotten a ton of use out of that stamp. It can go will so many images. Well worth a buck. LOL

I have added some Glamour Dust to the fairies fur trim. I love that stuff. The picture does not show the beauty of it.

My snowflakes and stars are cut from a cuttlebug die. I think they worked perfect for this layout.

Waiting for the chill

Hi there,

I hope everyone's week is starting off to be a good one.

Here I am still waiting for the fall weather to hit. It was in the mid 80's today...... later in the week we are suppose to have cooler weather. I WANT it NOW!

Ok, since that hasn't worked since I was about 2 or 3 with stomping my feet and yelling I want it now we will go onto my card.

This is a CC design stamp called Coco Emma. I can't wait till it gets to where you want to snuggle up and drink a hot cup of coco.

Emma is colored with my Copics.

The DP is K and Company Yuletide. The snow flakes are a cuttlebug die that I have covered in Glamour Dust. Oh my this is some really pretty glitter. It is super fine and just sparkles in person. I cut Emma out and added the baker twine so it looks as though she is sitting on it.

Did you notice anything different about the paper she is colored on? I thought I would give linen paper a try. Jen from Deconstructing Jen uses this a lot with her copics. Would I use it all the time? No, it seems to use a fair amount of ink. I do like they way it looks though so I will try it again.

Copics Used E000,E00,E11,E21,E23 R20,R21,R22 G20,G21,G24 E30,E31,E34 B93,B95,B97

Don't forget to stop by The Outlawz. Not a member? Sign up, no fees. Oh did I mention we are going to be having a big party starting Oct 3rd. Lots of prizes to be won. You don't want to miss it.

Re-Post

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to re-post this in case anyone may be interested. She does still have items left. Thanks for stopping by and reading.

I have a dear friend that had a “Teacher Supply Store” here. It was called Teacher I Am. Such a cute name. She had a wonderful business for 6 years but of course the economy took its toll. She was able to sell off a good bit of the merchandise that she had but still has a good chunk left. She is selling the items she has remaining at 50% off of the retail price plus shipping cost. Sorry but only shipping to US at this time.

Some of the items included are from companies like Carson Dellosa, Teacher Created Materials, Creative Teaching Press and many more. She has a fair amount of supplemental classroom books. Not a lot of classroom decorations. If you email her she will be happy to provide you with a list of the items she has or if there is something specific that you are looking for you can ask if she has it. Here is her email address teacheriam1@yahoo.com. Her name is Marilyn.

Back to School Outlawz Challenge

Hello Friday,

I don't know about anyone else here in the US but boy have I had my days all mixed up this week due to the holiday. Well at least it is the weekend. I am bummed though. I was due to take Suzanne Dean's class but had to cancel. Hopefully she will decide to come around again. It is also Gilli Stamps first birthday and party at the class. Gilli Stamps is one of the many sponsors over at The Outlawz.

Speaking of The Outlawz. It's Friday and that means Copic/Promaker challenge today. Are you ready?

The theme this week. School. Yup anything to do with School. Can be Back to School, Graduation, Starting School as long as you color with Copic or Promarkers. So get those thinking caps on and get creative.

I bet many of the parents out there have been getting ready for the kids to go back if they haven't already. If your children are already back I bet you have been out shopping for those book covers, pencils, pens, supplies for the projects already assigned. I know a lot of the schools send home list now or have them on a site so that you have everything prior to class starting but you know you always forget something or they add something.

My card today I went with the "back to school" theme. All of my images are from Elizabeth Dulemba. She is an illustrator of books and promoter of reading. She offers digi's free on her site. The digi's are really cute.

I ended up coloring 4 images and only used three on my card. I could let the other one go to waste so what better to do with it but to make a book marker out of it.

I ended up making more of my little toothpick pencils. They are fun and super easy to make.

My chalkboard paper is from an old DCWV mini stack. It says #3 on it. I know this pack is a good 4 or 5 years old.

The writing paper is a digi paper I found.

I hope you will stop by and check out the rest of the teams inspiration cards. They are fabulous.

Don't forget we have a group of terrific sponsors. Here are some of them.

Not a member of The Outlawz? Well come on over and join. There is a different challenge every day of the week with lots wonderful prizes. Don't have Copics no problem there is a challenge for all different types of medium.

Fall Colors

Fall, is it here yet?????? Please tell me yes! I am so ready for it.

For my card today, I dusted off another old stamp. This is an old Hero Arts stamp.

I colored the image with my copics. I am happy with the color I achieved on the pumpkins. I wanted them a little more "real" than Halloween. Added a little stickles to the center of the sunflowers.

I broke out my Slice and cut the word Autumn and the leaves.
Added a few orange pearls.

I was overall happy with the way the card came out.

I love fall so this is the first of many fall cards I want to make.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

CMC -Fall or Halloween themed
Craft us crazy -Autumn Colors
Secret Crafter - The Colours of Autumn
Creative Card Crew- Anything Goes
Digistamps4joy- The colours of fall

I hope you have enjoyed my card and thanks for stopping by.

A little Christmas cheer

Happy Tuesday,

Hope everyone has recovered from the weekend.

We are now getting more rain. OK, what is up with this. All summer it was hot and dry, no rain at all. Now in the past three weeks over 15 inches of rain. I still say someone really ticked off mother nature big time.

My card today was me practicing my folds again. So I decided to make into a card for the Deconstructing Jen sketch challenge. By the way have you seen her work? She does beautiful work.

I wanted to layer my DP paper but stuck them down before I remember. Opps... I like to layer them I think it makes it look more finished.

The image is from Tickled Pink. I don't think it is suppose to be a Christmas stamp but I thought it looked well in the colors.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

I want to drink your blood!

Hi there,

Happy Labor Day to you if you are in the US.

My card today was trying a little different color combo's.

Mainly on the skin. I am not sure I like it.

The image is Tickled Pink. I like the layout. The red circles are big drops of blood. Get it vampire-blood. Ok I know I am silly.

I really wanted to try the image out. There are things I would do different now. But for now it works. LOL

Getting the "red polish" on the nail was no easy task. I used another one of my spider rings that I cut the "ring" part off and added as an embellishment. The dollar store comes in handy. LOL

Don't forget to stop by The Outlawz for some great challenges going on each day of the week. All you have to do is become a member. Membership is free.

Just a reminder/hint: Party time soon at The Outlawz. Stay tuned.
