Flight of Fancy

Happy Saturday,

Guess what? It's that time again at MayzyArt. We have another fun challenge this time around.
The theme is Flight of Fancy. Hummm this is a fun one. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I went with Bibi Harmony. I love her little blue jay that is just singing alone with her playing.
I have colored Bibi with my copics.

The papers I chose had birds in it so I decided to cut some of them out with my die cuts.

I love all those curls in her hair. But then hair is one of may favorite things to color on an image.

I sure hope you will join us for this fun challenge. And for those here in the USA have a safe and wonderful 4th of July holiday.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Party, Party, Party Where in the World

Well Hello There,

Yes it's PARTY time. The Outlawz now has over 2000 members. Are you one yet? Well if you are not you are sure going to be missing out on a lot this week. June 24-30th we are in PARTY MODE.

Here is my little video I did as a promo for the celebration. There are chances to win a prize for reposting my video as well as Trina's Blinkie Promo on my right side bar. More info on how to enter can be found here

Make sure you join in on the Blog Hop starting with Colleen's blog there are prizes to be won there too.
We have so many wonderful sponsors for this event. There will be games, blog hop, tutorials and challenges. All with great prizes from the sponsors.

OK, on to the theme and my card.
Since so many Outlawz member are from all around the world. The theme is Around the World. Let us know through your project know where you are from. That could be your flag color to what your area is famous for.

My card is created using a super fun image from MayzyArt. This is Firecracker. She can be purchased here. Oh and be sure to check out my fellow CPC DT Darlene's blog for the debut of a slightly different version for any of you from Canada. My card is done based on USA. I used my Lifestyles Circle die to make the circle card.

My good old home country. Now let's see if you can guess what state the little Quickutz die cut is. And no it's not Idaho.

I have colored Firecracker with my copics. The word die cuts are done with my little old Slice machine. The stars are done with a punch and then added glass glitter on them. The blue star has glossy accents. Lots of dimension going on for this card.

The little half pearls are glitter pearls from Scrapbuck.com. The little silver twisty thing for lack of a better name was some Christmas package trim that I have had for years.

I sure hope you will join in on our challenges. Please make sure that you read the rules carefully as there are some that are special for the challenge since there are so many wonderful prizes up for grabs during this event.

Sketch Challenge

Hi there,

Hope you are have a wonderful start to your weekend. It very hot were I am. I am thinking fall already. :-)

Today I have a MayzyArt card for you. Mayzy is sponsoring the challenge over at Friday Sketch Challenge blog. They invited the Mayzy DT team to add some inspiration cards to their challenge if we would like to. Of course I jumped on the chance because I just love working with Mayzy and her images. This is Birthday Fairy. She is just plain fun. I hope you will stop over and check out all the Friday Sketch and MayzyArt DT inspiration on the Friday Sketch Challenge Blog.

I have colored her with my Copic markers. My Happy Birthday stamp is one from Studio G.

My friend Darlene encouraged me to try the dry embossing folder with adding ink to the folder. This was my first attempt. I am pretty happy with it. I don't use my embossing folders nearly enough considering how many of them I have.

My corner die cut is one of the first die cuts that Cuttlebug came out with. It is my go to corner die. I love how it comes out. I even sometimes use the inside piece that is cut out.

I have colored an added stickles to her wings. Really a fairy needs bling to her wings.
Hope you will join in on the challenge and for a chance to win some of Mayzy's wonderful images.

Please stop back tomorrow as I will be sharing my card for The Outlawz 2000 member party and see what Mayzy has in store for all you Mayzy fans.

Summer Time BBQ

Hello Everyone,

Glad that you stopped by today. May I place a Hot dog or Burger on the grill for you?
Just kidding. My grill skills are not the best. The hot dog either is burned or the burger falls apart and part if it is down into the fire.

Today over at The Outlawz Copic/Promarker Challenge we are celebrating good old summertime. Well at least in most places. The challenge is Picnic/BBQ/Outdoor Food. This should be a fun challenge. We can't wait to see what you have for us.

My image today is one that I won a while back from Karen Doodles. He was just perfect for this challenge. I have colored it with my Copics.

The paper is from a company called Canvas Corp. It was a sheet I picked up when I went to convention in March.
I think it works well for this.

A little red bakers twine and some gold glitter dimensional stars for that added sparkle and texture.
Though hard to see in the picture I have added clouds with my cloud template and my BG10 copic.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you to come join our challenge this week.
Also don't forget to check out the 2000 member party starting Sunday 12:01 EST June 24th. Lots of great sponsors, blog hop, games and challenges.

I have cut the circles with my Lifestyles die cuts. The fireworks are from the Robin’s Nest. I punched some little stars to add around.

I broke out my red bakers twine to add just a little more texture. I love the look of the stripes it gives the card.

Black Swan

Happy Saturday,

Hope you have had a great start to your weekend. Lot of yard work to do this weekend. Not looking forward to it at all.

I bring you today another challenge over at MazyArt. We had another great challenge turnout. All the cards have been over the top. So this time around we hope you will join us again.
The theme this time is the color BLACK.

When I first heard Mayzy say black I thought of, piece of cake. Ok lets just say I am eating those words.

I have used Dasiy Sprite. When I saw her I thought of the movie Black Swan. Easy enough right? Not so much. I had to black feathers. I used my little copic air brush and can air to color my little bit of feathers I have on the card.

I have colored her with my copics and used some copic spica pens and another type of sparkle pen.

I have used a Cherry Lynn die cut for the leave swirl. I used my slice machine for the ballet shoes, tutu and dance cut outs. My papers are My Minds Eye Meadow Lark. I also added a couple of black pearls to each side of "dance"

I hope you will stop by the Challenge blog and check my fellow Design Team members beautiful work.
Remember you don't have to use a Mayzy image to play along. A random card will be drawn to win MayzyArt images. Then all cards using a MayzyArt image will be in a special drawing that Mayzy herself will choose the winner for even more MayzyArt images.

Thanks for stopping by and see you over at MayzyArt.

Grease Summer Lovin

Hello everyone,

Today brings a new challenge at Through the Craftroom Door Magazine. Have you checked out the magazine. New issue is in the works already. From what I heard it's going to be another fun packed issue.

Ok, so today challenge is Summer Lovin from Grease.

Our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. The DT is using Bugaboo image to create the inspiration this time around.

I have colored the image with my copics. Although I could not get the photo to show her swim suit to she the blue violet color it was colored.

I took a verse from the song and made that my sentiment on the card.

I hope that you will join us for our challenge this time around.

Thanks for stopping by.

Favorite Copic Color Combo

Hi there,

Our new challenge is up. Today's challenge over at The Outlawz Copic/ProMarker Challenge is pick your favorite marker color combo and share it with us. You know you have a favorite combo. Share it with us. We love to try new color combos.

My image is by Saturated Canary our sponsor this month.
My favorite color combo is the reds I have used R37,R46,R59 and E18. I love the rich look you get with this. In person it almost looks like velvet. I also love the gold combo I used on the butterflies too. YR31,Y26,YR23,Y28
I hope you will give these a try if you have never tried them.

My papers are from Pink Paislee.

The butterflies are a Cherry Lynn die, I used vellum and a gold metallic card stock.

A thin cream and gold ribbon and I was done. The hard part was finding the right image without it being a Christmas image. I wasn't ready to break those out yet. LOL

Agent Popcorn on the Mission to Travel

Hello all,

A few weeks back I won over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges. I received this adorable set of images called Agent Popcorn. How cute is that name? They invited me to be a guest on one of their challenge. And boy oh boy was this one right up my alley. Lots of Layers. I used my Lifestyle dies for my circles and rectangles. I love those dies. They cut so well.

I received 3 different designs of Agent Popcorn. I choose this one because I thought she looked like she was on a mission to see as much as she could.

I have colored her with my copics. I added a couple 3-D items to her. I popped up the pocket and maps in/on her backpack. I also popped up the pencil behind her ear.

My papers are by My Minds Eye Teresa Collins collection. I thought they fit perfect.

I added some Making Memories stickers to the card for some more dimension . I hope you will stop over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenges and check out their cute stamps that they have. Did you know they picked up the Pollycraft line of images.

Thanks for stopping by today. See you back here tomorrow.

Congratulations/Graduation

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is off to a good start this month. Can you believe it time for the school to end for many.

The Outlawz challenge this week is Congratulations/Graduation. With so many graduating and moving into the workforce this is a great time of year for our challenge.

Well I broke out another old stamp and dusted it off. This is one my Northwoods. I have always found it to be so pretty. Yes it is more of a "female" graduation card because of the roses. The Congratulations Graduate stamp is one by Studio G.

I have stamp this one on Cryogen White cardstock and colored it with my Copics. Can you see the little shimmers? I was surprised they showed up this time. Must have done something right. LOL

I kept it very simple, layered it on black cardstock.

You can really see the shimmer in this up close shot of the image. I hope you will join us this week. We would love to see what you have for us.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I have used Gilli Florist for my card today. She is out picking those summer flowers to make a special arrangement.

I have colored her with my Copics and added stickles to her shirt for texture.

As always we love to see Gilli stamps but you are welcome to use others. My post today is a bit short and sweet as I am running behind. Oh how life gets in the way sometimes. Winking smile
