The Outlawz Friday challenge with Calendar page

Happy Friday Everyone,

I'm excited today because it means the second installment of the optional calendar project over at The Outlawz CPC challenge. This is an anything goes challenge but with the option of making a calendar page for 2013. We are doing this once a month through November. By doing this you will have a desk calender completed by the first part of December ready to give as a gift or keep it for yourself. Make more than one. These will make great gifts. The best part is we will give you the PDF for this calender.

This week will be the February 2013 calendar page. We were very happy with all of our entries and would love to see even more join in this month. We will keep the previous months calendars houses so that you can join in anytime and still get the previous months. We would love to have you play along.

My calendar page today is using a wonderful Bugaboo Stella image. Oh these images are so funny. I love them.

Again this month I want to keep it simple so just a little layering. I have used a paper from K and Company Lovely collection. I hope you will join in with our challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by today. I do hope you have enjoyed my card today.

Dressed for a party!

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

How is your week going? Hopefully well. Well the snow and ice is gone and it is 50 plus degrees outside today. Wow... what is up with mother nature?

I had fun making up my card today. It is inspired by Saturated Canary's challenge this week. The challenge is to use your dies or punches. I have used a new die that a friend gave me for Christmas as well as another die set I got for Christmas from hubby.

I love this Cherry Lynn leaf swirl die. I have been wanting it for a long time. The scalloped circles are cut from Lifestyle dies. I love how many size of dies I got in that set. I have to tell you they cut really really well. Better than some other dies out there.

My image is from Saturated Canary. This is Haley and Harley. Are they just too cute for words? I have colored them with my Copics. I added a bit of stickles to their underdress. The papers are from Prima Pixie Glen Collection.

I also added some pearls that I got from Scrapbuck.com. I love their pearls and they are so reasonable with their prices.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my card. I am enter this in the following two challenges.

Girls Only for The Outlawz Friday Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are doing well this week and are ready for the weekend. We have a fun challenge for you over at The Outlawz CPC challenge this week. Girls Only. Isn't that fun. Just think of all those adorable little girl images out there now. My card today is made with one of those adorable images.

This is by artist Krista Smith over at Saturated Canary. She has some of the sweetest images. They are really fun to color. This one is called Ellie's Birthday. I have colored her with my copics.

The paper pad is by My Minds Eye Ooh La La for her collection. I thought it was nice bright cheery paper. I used some glitter pearls I purchased from Scrapbuck.com. They are much prettier in person.

Again I used some more bakers twine. I am telling you I might need a 12 step program for that stuff. LOL

I sure hope you have enjoyed my card today. I look forward seeing you over at The Outlawz for our challenge and be sure and check out our wonderful sponsors and other challenges that we offer there. Stay tuned for the next calendar page coming up next week.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.

Getting Cozy with Gilli

Well HELLO. It's time for another challenge over at The House of Gilli . Wow is this challenge cool or what. What a great theme WINTER. That can be all kinds of fun stuff. From building a snowman to taking a winter vacation.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My card today is Ms. Gilli getting cozy with her cup of hot coco ready to watch a movie. Wait… ”Who took the remote”

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Don’t you just hate that? You get all nice and cozy ready to settle into a good movie and the darn remote goes missing. So now you have to figure out is it worth it to get up, get cold and try to find the remote or just finish your hot coco and then take a nap. Hummmm….

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My papers are from Prima collection called North County. I like the snowy feel the papers had.

I sure hope you will join us over at The House of Gilli for this challenge. It’s going to be fun to see everyone’s take on this one.

Retro fun over at CMC

Happy Monday,

Today is a holiday for many in the states. I'll take it. It's still rather cold here but as long as there is no snow I will be ok with the cold.

Today my card is inspired by the challenge over at CMC. The challenge is to make it look Retro using Hot Pink, Black and White.

My image is by Saturated Canary. I have colored her using my Copic.

The papers are from various companies that I have had in my collection of papers.

Of course I broke out my bakers twine....love this stuff.

A few black pearls for some more texture. You should jump on over to the CMC challenge and see all the fabulous entries so far.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges. You should check these out as well. They have some great inspiration there too.

TTCRD Challenge - Anything but a card & create your own embellishments

Hi there,

Did everyone make it through the dreaded Friday the 13th this time around? Well at least it has been a 3 day weekend. Woo Hoo.

Well today's challenge at TTCRD is a little different but we hope will get you to look outside the box. The challenge it to create anything but a card but you will need to create your own embellishments as well. Wow that's a different one. We sure hope you will put your thinking caps on and amaze us. Our challenge this time is being sponsor by Ippity by Rona. She will be giving a $15 dollar gift certificate to her store for the lucky winner.

My project is a luminaire. This is Gilli House by anaRy. Isn't it just the cutest little house? At the end of the post I have an overview of how I created this. Mostly I just went with it.

This is just a "daylight" view of this cute little cottage. The trees are from a Sizzix die.
Here it is in a more "evening" setting.

Here is a "daylight" view at a slight angle.

And the "evening" setting at a different angle.

After I colored the image I placed it on another sheet of card stock and traced the shape to make the back part of the house. For the sides I just cut some pieces of cardstock that would allow after attached to the sides of the house a battery operated candle to fit inside. So what I am trying to say is I just winged it...LOL.

For the widows I cut them out then took some clear acetate and colored it with one of my yellowcopics. I then took a copic multiliner and recreated the window panes. For the base I used some heavy chipboard. I have an old template of a cobblestone so I sponged in a sidewalk. I then used glossy accents over each stone to give it a raised effect. The grass is created with lots and lots of green flower soft.

I also added multi colored flower soft along the sidewalk and flower boxes to give it that nice spring time look.

My embellishments that I created are:
  • A piece of background paper that has a newprint on it to make the newpaper on the sidewalk
  • The little bunny was part of a large stamp that I cute him out and added a little cotton ball to.
  • The baseball bat a drew and added a white pearl for the baseball
  • The jump rope is some twine with little pieces of cardstock for the handles.
I sure hope you will give something like this a try is really was fun. Not sure I would make a dozen of them but for someone special or just because you want to try something different sure.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you over at TTCRD.

I am also entering this into the following challenge.

Beautiful Nevaeh

Happy Saturday,

It is a cold day here. No snow which is ok with me but still cold. Last week we had temps in the upper 50's and now this burrrrrrr.... is it spring yet?

I finished this card up late yesterday and photographed it today. I am really pleased with they way it came out. As you can tell it is a Valentine's Day card. My super cute image is one of Krista Smith's Saturated Canary designs. This is Nevaeh. Isn't she so pretty?

I have colored her with my Copics. I loved the pink that I was able to achieve on her dress. I love how here hair took on a shine. Krista's images are fun to color. They have a lot of whimsy.

This is a 5x7 card. The papers are from K and Company call Lovely. The heart embellishments are by Making Memories. I think they are so pretty and sparkly. Speaking of sparkle I added some clear stickles to the bottom of her underdress and used some Sakura clear glitter pen to add a little shine to her dots on her dress.

The Happy Valentine's Day verse is one of the small clear Studio G sets from Michael's.

After some encouragement from some special ladies I decided to enter this into Saturated Canary's DT call.

Friday Challenge for The Outlawz

Well hello everyone,

Happy Friday. I hope everyone has had a great week. I sure did. I got to visit with my best friend and stamping buddy. We had a blast. But then we always do.

Can you believe it, it's Friday again and we have a new challenge for you this week over at The Outlawz.

Be sure and check out our Guest Designer Linda Palmer's Card. She comes up with some of the nicest cards as do all my DT mates. I feel so lucky to be part of such a fantastic team.

This week challenge is to use the colors Blue, Aqua, Turquoise and Sand. We have added an optional twist of seaside/coastal. Just remember if you choose the optional twist you will need to use the color combo as well.

The Outlawz has some of the best sponsor for our challenges. They offer some wonderful prizes.

Ok with that said. Here is my card. I hope it will inspire you to join our challenge.

My card is done use images from Make it Crafty. I have merged these images (boy, girl and sandcastle) together.

The beach and water I drew in. I was really happy with how it came out.

Of course it is all colored with my Copics. The clouds are created using my trusty old ( and I do mean old) template from All Night Media.

Because it was a large image I kept the layout very simple just layered it a little bit. No additional embellishments.

**Challenge Rules**

§ Your projects must be new. No back linking (not appearing anywhere prior to your posting to The Outlawz).

§ Project/images must be colored using alcohol-based markers such as Copics and or Promarkers as well as following the provided challenge theme.

§ You can enter our challenge as many times per week as you like...BUT...you can only link ONE entry per week into the monthly Inlinkz.

I hope that you have enjoyed my card and I want to Thank You for stopping by. See you over at The Outlawz.

TTCRD Challenge - Monochromatic

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all rested up after ringing in the New Year. TTCRD has it's first challenge for 2012. The challenge is Monochromatic. So everyone break out your favorite color family and show us what you have.

Isn't this little one a cutie?

My card to day is using a Bildmalarna stamp. I have colored her outfit with my Copics in various shades of blue. I added some white polka dots to her shirt and headband for some added detail. The butterflies are punched using a Martha Stewart punch.

I have to tell you though. I photographed this card a number of times. I guess the paper just had a mind of it's own. Some of the stripes in the papers look more yellow green and they are not. They are blue with a hit of green to them. Over all I still think it fits the bill for Monochromatic.

I hope that you will join us at Through the Classroom Door for this wonderful challenge. We have some great prizes up for grabs.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges.

Robyn's Fetish - Anything Goes

Sir Stamp a Lot - Monochromatic

Heart Song Inspirations - Anything Goes

Incy Wincy Designs - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by today and hope you will join us.

Happy 2012! New DT for House of Gilli.

Happy 2012. Can you believe that it is 2012 already?

As you may know I was a guest designer and filled in over at The House of Gilli.

anaRy has asked me to join the Gilli DT. I of course was thrilled to say yes.

anaRy has a lot in store for 2012 with Gilli and The House of Gilli. Be sure and check back often to see what is happening.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Today Asian Gilli is all decked out in pink. She has been attending parties meeting and talking with her fans and supporters.

Gilli would like to Thank all of her fans for a wonderful 2011

Gilli has a lot in store for you in the New Year.

The challenge this time is an easy one. Anything Goes! Can’t get much easier than that can it?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My card today is done in soft pinks. Gilli is colored with Copics. Her dress has a little bit of stickles added to it as well as her handbag and headdress. She is wearing a stunning pair of pearl dangle earrings to add even more elegance to her outfit.

The paper is by K and Company called Lovely. It really is a Valentine paper pad but this soft pink paper had some pretty butterflies in it. Not really easy to see in the picture but is what has inspired me to break out my CC designs butterfly die cut. I also used my Slice to cut Join Us.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As the card says “Join Us”. We here at The House of Gilli sure hope you will for our Anything Goes challenge.

Be sure to keep stopping back to check out what my fellow DT gals have in store as inspiration. They come up with some of the cutest cards to motivate you. I am honored to work with them here at The House of Gilli.

We hope to see your wonderful creations.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Crafting in 2012
