Time for another calendar page!

Hello Everyone,

Yes, it's that time again we have another calendar page for you. This time we have the April 2013 PDF for you.

We hope that you are having fun making the desk calendar along with us.

Here is my next page in my Bugaboo themed calendar. Yes it's tax time here in the US. And boy is this statement Stella is making pretty much hitting the nail on the head. LOL

I have colored Stella with my Copics. I added some glossy accents to the water cooler bottle.

My papers are from some that I have in my collection.

Keeping things simple I have just cut her out and layered on the paper.

I hope you will come on by and check out the my fellow DT mates inspiration. Boy you are in for a treat.

Again we are offering a page a month of the calendar free for you to download and print out.

Please join us for this fun challenge. As always your project must be new (never posted prior to posting to the challenge) and colored using Copic or Pro Markers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Good Book

Hello Everyone,

Today I am here with my DT project for The House of Gilli. The theme is White + 1 so I am going with White and Plum. I decided to go with making a bookmarker. I felt this quote was very appropriate. Because books really can take you away.

I thought Asian Gilli was perfect for this. Some little girl is reading a book on a young girl traveling all around.

She is colored with my Copics and a little stickles has been added to here dress.

I hope that you will join us for our challenge this week at The House of Gilli. We would love to see your take on our White + 1 challenge. Skin and hair colors do not need to be part of the plus one. If you have a Gilli stamp we would love to see it but if not that’s fine too.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope to see you in the challenge.

On the good ship lollipop!

Hello Everyone,

Hope your week has started off well.

I am getting excited as I will be attending a Paper Crafting convention with a good friend this weekend. We go every year. While it is not a big convention we always manage to spend money and have a wonderful time.

On to my card for today.
This little girl so reminds me of Shirley Temple singing on "On the good ship lollipop"
Ok some of you may say who the heck is that. LOL
No, I was not born when she was a kid but I do know who she is. :-)

This is one of Mayzy Arts images. This is Lorelei and she is available in Mayzy Etsy Shop.
I have colored her with my Copics.

I broke some more oldie but goodies to make this card. The star paper is really stationary that I have had for many many years. The little achonor stamp is back from the 1990's and yes had never seen ink until today.

The scallop punch is one that I received as a gift. I could not believe I did not have one.
I added some bakers twine. Yes I love that stuff. I also added some glitter pearls that I purchased from Scrapbuck.com they are very pretty.

Thank you for stopping by to have a peek at my card.

Squares Everywhere

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Well, I was planning on having this card up earlier but...... well the first layout I did. I just did not like at all. So I took it apart and started over. I like this much better. Have you ever had that happen you put a card together thinking oh this will work well, then afterwards you just say to your self "what was I thinking" ?

So here is my card for today.

I am using another fabulous dig image from Mayzy Arts. This is another one of her cafe' gals.
Can you just see it, the little doggie jumping around and she ends up with whipped cream on her nose.

I have colored her with my Copics. Of course :-)
I broke out that Hero Arts stamp set again and made the background on the kraft cardstock.

I was a little undecided on which papers I wanted to use. Can you tell? So I went with a little of each. The papers are from My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy Girl and Vanity Fair Collection

A little bakers twine and some pearls for a little added texture.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Easter, Bunnies and Chocolate

Hi there everyone,

Yes, it is that time of the Easter is coming up soon. Oh and next watch out it is really early.

So we have a new challenge for you over at The Outlawz. Yes, it's Friday so it is the copic/promarker challenge. So break out those marker and show us what you have using the theme Easter/Bunnies/Chocolate.

Come on we know you have some pretty Easter stamps you want to share with us, or maybe a cute bunny or better yet show us how you would color a chocolate bunny with your Copic or Promakers.

My card today is using an image by a company call Angels Landing. It's a digi stamp. I have colored it using my wonderful copics. It is such a beautiful image to color.

I kept the layout pretty simple because I didn't want to take away from the image. I cut the image out with my circle Lifestyles dies and then layered it on a scallop die also by Lifestyles.

I added a pretty double satin bow along with a few purple pearls.

The Happy Easter stamp is one of my trusty Studio G stamps. The paper is by Heidi Grace Designs. I think the name is Pricent. It is a very pretty paper pad that I have had for a while.

I sure hope you will join us this week for our challenge just remember, your image must be colored using Copics or Pro Markers. You project must be new No Backlinking (cannot have been posted anywhere prior to this challenge)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Coffee Anyone?

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone has been having a good week. It has been a very nice week here. We have had a lot of fog lately. We go to sleep to the fog horns blowing and wake up to them. But it's kind of nice. We are about a mile from the river.

My card today is one that I have used a digi image on from a new digi artist. Her shop name is Mayzy Art. She has some really super cute digi images there. She has been filling her shop up with new images just about everyday. And I have to tell you that she has agreed to sponsor The Outlawz CPC challenge. We are very excited. Stay tuned for that real soon. Psst....check out The Outlawz, Mayzy has something over there for you. Not a member yet? No problem just pop on over and join us it's free to join and participate.

The image is Shawna with Latte. I purchased her as part of a set but you can also purchase her alone. I have colored her with my Copics. I added a little shine to her belt using my glaze pen.

My DP are from Authentique Uncommon collection and My Minds Eye Lost and Found Market Street.
I have layered them on Kraft cardstock and sponged with Tea Dye distress ink.

The "Let's have Coffee" image is from an old Hero Arts set that dates back to 1996. A little bakers twine for texture.

I am very happy with the way the card came out. I hope that you will check out Mayzy shop and The Outlawz. Lots of things going on at both places.

Spring is Here!

Happy Spring Tuesday,

Wow can you believe it, spring is here. Not that we had a bad winter but now the flowers will be in bloom. Some are already. Oh the grass will need cutting, weeds to be pulled, mulch to be put down... hey wait a minute that's a lot of work. Just kidding.

Well today I have a card for you that is Spring, Easter and just plain full all in one.

My image is by Krista Smith of Saturated Canary. I just love her images. They are just fun to color with my Copics.
And look at that little duck is that cute or what?

The papers I have used have such a spring feel to them. They are from K and Company called Watercolor Bouquet. There were so many pretty papers I just couldn't pink one so I did a bit a layering.

I added a little green bakers twine for texture as well as some pretty pink pearls

I also used my dotted stamp to create the background around the image. I made a video on this if you would like to see how I did it. It located on the left side bar of my blog.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are able to enjoy a nice spring day.

Spring Basket

Hello Everyone, I’m here today with another project for the Spring colors theme over at The House of Gilli.

This time I didn’t make a card but a little Easter basket to put some chocolate goodies in. I thought those little Hershey’s kisses with pastel colored foils would be cute.

I have used Gilli Florist for my project today. She fit the bill perfect. With her spring flowers and little basket.

gilli basket lg

This little basket is simple to make. I have used a piece of 6 x 6 paper from Authentique Uncommon collection. Add a piece of satin ribbon with some brads to hold it all together.

gilli basket tilt

I have colored her with my Copics. I also used my new Cherry Lynne Grass die that I received as a gift from a good friend. I layered 3 on top of each other to give a little depth. The Happy Easter is from a Studio G set stamp with chalk ink. Chalk ink is the best ink for using clear stamps, gives really good coverage.

I colored her shirt and then added white dots to make it a little different.

I hope that my card has inspired you to join in on our challenge this time around at The House of Gilli. Thanks for stopping by today for a visit.

Humor Card Folio

Hi there everyone,

Hope you have had a great week. My week has went well. We had a couple for really warm nice days here, so I am getting a little bit of spring fever.

Well I will get on with today's Outlawz challenge for you. Yes it is Bugaboo Stella out cruising. Boy don't get in her way she has places to go and people to annoy.

This is a two for one project. Why you ask? Well this is an item that can be useful alone or you can fill it up with cards that you have made and give it as a gift.

This is a project that I taught years ago at our local now gone stamp store. It is really easy to make. I have made a video tutorial for it as well. I hope that you will give it a try. We are also making it an optional part of the Friday Copic/Promarker challenge at The Outlawz.

Isn't Stella a hoot. Can you just see her beeping that little horn at you.

I have colored her with my copics.

I have layered her on some old dotted background paper I had.

I have lined the inside to give it a finished look. This folio can be used to put cards in and give as a gift. You could put coupons in it or even stamped images to take with you to color. The folio's can be found at your local office supply store and discount stores. If you catch them during the "Back to School" sales they are really inexpensive I have seen then as low as 10 cents each. Here is a link for Staples, Office Depot and Office Max so that you can see what you need to look for or order them directly.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look. Rules and instructions are found on The Outlawz

Movie Time

Hi there,

Back again today with another card. I just love how this card came out. It's one of those cards that you just started to color the image and the card evolved around it.

The image is by Karen Doodles. I have to confess. It really is half of the image. There is a little boy that goes with it but I messed him up of course after I colored the little girl. Heck I wasn't going to toss it so I cut it out. She is colored using my Copics.

I used a kraft cardstock and dusted off some more old stamps to create the background. I stamped them with Chestnut Roan chalk ink. Love that color goes perfect with the Kraft cardstock.
I have had all of those stamps for at least 10 years maybe even longer.

This little girl is set as far as munchies. Popcorn, candy bars and soda, boy is she going to need a Tums later. LOL
The tickets and matching die are by Paper Trey Ink. This is a very useful set.

I added a little bakers twine and some pearls for texture.
Thank you for stopping by again to see my card.

Create a Tag at TTCRD

Hi there everyone,

Wow where has the time went. Gosh it seems just yesterday we were finishing up with Christmas and now it's time to think about Easter.

We have a challenge over at TTCRD to help you get started. Yes the challenge this time around is a to create a TAG in a spring or Easter theme.

I made my tag in the large economy size LOL. This would make a great tag to add to a large Easter basket or dinner basket you were giving for Easter.

My image is one that I won from Karen Doodles on their challenge blog. Isn't that bunny just so cute holding onto that carrot.

I have colored him with my Copics. I had to make my tag. I am not a big tag person. I think they look great when others do them but I just don't think mine come out that well.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join us over at TTCRD for our challenge.
