Calendar Time Sunshine

Hi there all,

It's that time again. Yes, a new calendar page with good old Stella. This is for The Outlawz CPC challenge. You can get your free calendar there as well as the previous months so you can still catch up if you like. My image is from Bugaboo and she has some of the funniest saying to go with here. I picked this one because of a friend. When she reads this she will know who she is. I just thought it was so funny.

She is colored with my Copics and cut out.

The paper is My Minds Eye.

The flags reminded me of a camp and Stella being one of the counselors.
I hope that you will stop by The Outlawz challenge. This is the last week for a chance to win some of Mayzy Arts digi images as she is our sponsor this month.

Sunshine day at the Beach

Happy Wednesday,

Hope your week is going well. Not too much happening here. I thought I would share a card I finished today. I am using a Saturated Canary image. This one is called Beach Baby. Krista's images are always so cute. Be sure and stop by and check her store out.

I have colored her with my copics.

I have used papers from K & Company. Sorry don't remember the name of the collection as I only have a few little sheets left.

The yellow background I created using an old stamp with veramark ink and clear embossing powder. I just wanted to give a tone on tone look.
I did my dotted background technique around her. Sorry my photos didn't come out too well. I think I changed a setting on my camera by accident.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Oh Pretty…. Ribbon and Sparkles

I am hosting another fabulous challenge at The House of Gilli.

Our theme this time around is “Ribbon and Sparkles”. There are so many pretty ribbons out there. If you are like me you have loads and loads of ribbons. Yes I am a bit obsessed with ribbons and bakers twine and paper well let’s not go there. LOL

We challenge you to show us what you have with Ribbon and Sparkles on it. If you have a Gilli we would love to see it, if not no worries we love seeing your projects.

gilli sparkle lg

Today I have for you Gilli as a cowgirl. Is’t she just adorable. She is all deck out in her cowgirl outfit for a night of dancing.

gilli sparkle rt tilt

Gilli is colored with my copic markers and little extra shading is done with colored pencils. Gilli’s shirt is covered with sparkle aka stickles.

My paper is from K and Company Sweet Nectar. I matched the copic colors to the paper. I would not have thought about using yellow with the pink but I really like the way it looks together. My die cut is a new one that I just got from Cherry Lynn. My ribbon is some that I picked up from AC Moore on clearance. It is much prettier in person.

I added a few pearls around just for a little extra. I hope you will join us for our challenge. Be sure and put your entry in the INLINKZ at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for stopping by today and don’t forget to check out House Of Gilli.

Poof.....it's magic

Well hello everyone. Hope you have had a great week. Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am.

It's that time of the week again. The Outlawz CPC challenge is now up and ready for you to check out and join in. This weeks theme is MAGIC. What do you think of when you hear Magic. I thought of pull a rabbit out of a hat magic trick. I could not get that thought out of my head. Did I have anything for it......not really. I had the hat but that's it. I told our sponsor this month Mayzy what I had in my head and this adorable image is what she came up with. Yes she takes ideas and will even do custom work.

The hat is from an older stamp company called Museum of Modern Rubber
So yes I dusted off another oldie.

I have colored all with my copics.

I was thinking I wanted something in the background but nothing that took too much from the image. I headed to our local dollar store and purchased a pack of playing cards. Well I now have a part of a deck. Any takers? LOL

I added a few black and red pearls just for a little extra.
I hope you will stop by and join us this week at The Outlawz CPC challlenge.
Details and rules are listed under the challenge for the week. Be sure and check out our sponsor for this month as well Mayzy Arts

Clowning Around

Hello everyone,

Can you believe we are at the middle of April already? Wow time is flying by. I am here today with a card for the challenge over at Through the Craftroom Door. Have you stopped by there lately. There has been some changes made. We have a new owner Colleen Holmes. Yup, Colleen has taken over the magazine and has some really big plans for it.

Ok, let me get on to the challenge. It is "Show me your favorite technique" Sounds simple right? That is until you have to narrow it down. :-) So I picked one of my favorite ones. Layering. If you have seen my cards you will know I like to put layers into my cards.

Our challenge is being sponsored by Floppy Latte and they have provided the DT with some of there digital images. This cute little clown doll is one of them.

I have colored the clown with my Copics on Cryogen white. I use to really like this paper but I am not as keen on it as I once was. I guess I got use to the xpress it paper. But all in all the little clown did come out really cute.

I have cut my layers using my Lifestyle dies. The papers are by Fancy Pants. I added a little bit of bakers twine to give the little clown something to sit on.

Added a bit of stickles to the collar.

Thank you for stopping by today and hope that you will join us over at TTCRD for our challenge.

Flowers and Butterflies

Hello All,

I hope that your weekend is off to a fantastic start. The weather is really getting nice here. I do hope everyone who is being hit with the bad weather in Oklahoma and surrounding areas are all safe.

I wanted to share a card with you today that was started for DT card but ended up making something else instead. When I finished this card I really liked the way it came out so I thought I would share it with you today.

This is using an old Hero Arts stamp that has seen much love. This is the first time though that I have colored it with my Copics.

It's hard to see but I added a little Copic clear Spica pen to the butterfly image.

The die cuts are from Cherry Lyn. I love both the them.
The paper is by Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Collection

I added a few pearls for a little extra touch. I am very please with the way this card came out.

Up Up and away with my beautiful balloons

Hi there,

It's that time again. Friday Copic/Promarker challenge at The Outlawz. This weeks theme is balloons. Let us see what your take on this theme is. Just remember you project must have balloons in it.

Don't forget we have a wonderful sponsor this month for our challenge. Mayzy Arts is offering 6 digi stamps from her store to this months winner. My card today is using one of Mayzy's images. Isn't she just adorable? This is Bibi Balloons.

I don't use this color combo a lot but when I do I really like it. Purple and yellow really go well together. She is colored using Copics.

I used my Lifestyle dies to cut the circles and squares.

The Make a Wish stamp is a Studio G stamps

I added some bakers twine and pearls for the texture.

Red Dress

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Hope your weekend has started off well. Rather quiet here. I did get a card colored today. This is my favorite color combo to use R37,R46,R59 and E18 and to use it to do pleats I just love it. The inspiration for my card is from Deconstructed Jen and her sketch for her challenge. I am using one of my new favorite digital stamps by Mayzy Arts. I love her images. Not only is she sponsoring Jen's sketch but also the Copic/Promarker challenge over at The Outlawz.

I have colored her with my Copics in my favorite color.

For her stockings I colored the skin tone but the colored over with some grays. I then took the colorless blender and created the pattern on the stocking to look like fishnet. Didn't come out too bad.

The papers that I have used are by My Minds Eye Lost & Found Union Square collection. I love the colors in the paper pad.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today. Thank you for stopping by.

Inspired by Nature

Hello Everyone,

Spring is upon us. A little early too. Already had to cut the grass. What is up with that. Well maybe not for some but here on the east coast it is a bit strange to have to cut this early.

OK, We have some great news for you. This month our Copic/Promarker Challenge is being sponsored by a new digi artist. Mayzy Arts is the name and boy does Mayzy have some really fun and cute images. They are perfect to color with your Copics. She is generously giving 6 of her digi images to this months winner. The winner will have a hard time picking which 6 images you want. They are all so cute. Her images are also very reasonably priced you will love it.

Mayzy has also given the design team an image to work with so what each week we will have some creations to share with you using these fun images.

My card today is made with Adventure Meri. Isn't she just too fun. The theme this week is inspired by nature. So what better way to be inspired but to have mother nature present you with a tree and climb it!

Meri is colored using my copics.

I have cut it out as a square but left her one foot dangling off. I created the sky background with my trusty All Nite Media cloud template and a BG0000 copic marker.

The lady bug is a 3D embellishment by Making Memories.
The verse I made up and printed out.

I hope you will stop by The Outlawz and check out my fellow teammates beautiful creations that were "inspired by nature"
Also stop my Mayzy shop and check out all the wonderful digi images she has to offer.

Also be sure and visit Through the Craftroom Door Magazine. There are lots of new and exciting news going on there as well.

Spring is in the Air and so are the Butterflies

Well Hello Everyone,

Lots a of news for you today over at Through the Craftroom Door.

As of today April 1st the magazine has a new owner. Many of you may already know this wonderful lady. Due to other ventures and commitments Suzanne and Marti decided that they would no longer be able to keep the magazine going as they have wished to when it began. However they still wanted to see their work that they had put into the magazine continue. So as of today the new owner of Through the Craftroom Door is none other than The Outlawz owner Colleen Holmes. I have the great privilege to not only be on this design team but as many of you may already know I am on The Outlawz design team as well. I have the pleasure of knowing and working with Colleen already. I can tell you that you are going to be in for a real treat in the coming months with this magazine. Please stay tuned at the magazine's blog as well and The Outlawz.

OK, let's go ahead and tell you about the challenge for the 1st day of April. Our challenge is sponsored by my friend and artist anaRy the artist behind Gilli Stamps. She will be giving a way a Gilli Goodie bag to the winner of this challenge.

So what is the challenge? The challenge is to create a spring project but it must include a butterfly. Not to hard. Does it have to be a card no. You can make a box, card, or wreath as long as it is spring and has a butterfly or two or three on it.

My card is a mini 3 x 3 card. I am using lil Gilli Classy. She has her new spring outfit on.

I have colored most of her with my Copics. I did paper piece her skirt and the collar of her jacket with like color.

The butterflies are punch from a Martha Stewart Punch.
Of course I couldn't help myself I had to add a little bakers twine.

I know my post was a bit long but I wanted to share the wonderful news about our new owner Colleen. I hope you will join us for our challenge and stop by and welcome Colleen as our new owner.
