The Elements

Happy Friday,

Yay, it's Friday. Anyone have any good plans this upcoming weekend? Maybe a little outdoor activity?

Oh I am so happy the weather is being nicer to us with the cooler temps.

Today I bring you my card for the new challenge that we have going on over at the Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz. The theme this time around is Inspired by the Elements (fire, water, air, earth).

My image today is by Whimsy Stamps that I won a few weeks back and I am using for the first time. I thought this was just an adorable image. My card covers earth, water and air. No fire here well unless you are going to cook the fish they catch over an open fire. :-)

I wish I knew who made the verse but it is a unmounted rubber stamp that I have had for years, I don't think it had ever seen ink before :-).
I didn't really have any good pattern papers so I had to make some. I had a good brown tone pattern paper so I took a stamp I have from Impression Obsession that is a wood grain. So I used that.

The grass was done with my copics, the clouds were done with my cloud template and BG 10. The water I airbrushed with my copic marker then used an another old stamp by Stampscapes. It's a water stamp I have stamped over the blue to create the little ripples.

When I started this card I wasn't sure I was going to pull it off. I just love it when a card comes together better than you expected.

Our sponsor this month is Kenny K Downloads . What fun images he has.

Thanks for stopping by today. I will be back in a little bit to share a video with you.

I am entering this into the following challenges.
Digi Doodle Challenge (sadly their last one)

OMGosh, Jo, you have a little masterpiece here! What a wonderful humorous scene! Love all the coloring and stamping to make this look so realistic! Love the paper you created, too. And I am glad that sentiment finally found some ink! ;^)

Jo, Wonderful card, great image and sentiment perfect for a guys card. Love how you did your background, your sky turned out really awesome. Been awhile since I have been over here, sorry about that... The pattern paper you made is just right, I can see the wood grain in the paper looks great. I'm so glad you joined us at Cards For Men. Good luck on the challenge and I loved seeing your creations.
