Marci

Greetings All,

Well it did not get to the 87 degrees today. They changed the weather report to be only 76, well it went to 81 degrees. They were off altogether. It is very humid so it is uncomfortable. I just want a nice spring.

This card was a quick one a put together because I wanted to try my new La La Land craft stamp that I got. I purchased her through All that Scraps. They were having a clearance sale and they had two of the Marci stamps on sale for $5.50 each. Couldn't pass it up.

I colored her with Copics and paper pieced her dress.

I am really happy with the how the hair came out. I added a little Stickles to her shoes.

Have a good night everyone.

Bee and Butterfly

Hi There,

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. We took care of some yard work today. Boy those weeds really can grow in the winter. It is amazing the older you get the less work you get done before you are pooped out. LOL

Tomorrow the weather report is calling for a high of 87 degrees. A record high they say... No kidding this is April in Delaware. The norm is low 60's.

Ok, this was a quick card I did using a card fold I saw at the convention. I don't think it was anything new I just had not seen it up close before so I wanted to give it a try.

The image is by Karen Doodles. Mae from the CMC group had used this on her card and I asked her where she got it from and she said it was Karen Doodles and it was a freebie that they offered. The funny thing is I forgot I had this. So I went to my digi file and sure enough there it was. LOL

I have colored with copics and added some stickles to the butterfly and the bees wings. I used my nesties. The pearls are viva decor liquid pearls.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Moonlit Night and Convention video

Happy Friday,

Hope everyone has nice plans for the weekend. Today I wanted to share something I learned at convention.

This is a card I have made based on a technique that I saw at the convention that I attended in Ocean City, Maryland on April 2. This was my first try at it and it came out pretty good. It is suppose to look like a windy, snowy moonlit night.

The stamps are made by Seaside Stampin Ink also the sponsors of the convention. You can see the stamps in my video I have made of all my purchases from convention. The video is below the card.

The cardstock is navy blue speckled you stamp and emboss the tree and fence with black embossing powder. Let the cool just a bit then take your Brilliance Pearlescent Blue Ice stamp pad a run it across the card. With a paper towel wipe over the embossed areas.

Take a drop of Brilliance Pearlescent Moonlight white that you put down on something that will not absorb it. Dip your finger ( yes you get a little messy) and then place the ink on your finger where you would like the moon to be. With a clean finger you swirl it around till it is bigger and almost looks as though there is a faded ring around the moon. Then using a small paint brush you will paint in moon shadows and snow on the tree and fence. It really is a pretty card in person. If you have any question regarding this technique please leave a comment and I will try and answer them. It is really easy and I think you could try different colors as well.

Under the video you will find a picture of the card that the stamp company was demoing.
Here is my video of purchases made at convention. This was the first time I have tried recording the audio separate from the video. It's not too bad.

These cards were done by the owner of Seaside Stampin Ink

Wee Suzi

Happy Thursday Everyone,

Wow I can't believe it has been almost a week since I went to the Ocean City Stamp Convention. I went with my good friend Lorea.

We had a blast. Although when we were coming back from dropping some of purchases in the car and grabbing a snack I thought we were going to get blown away. All of the sudden the wind picked up. The hotel were the convention is held in right on the beach so the wind came off the ocean right along side of the building. It was rather funny. I can only imagine what we looked like. But we carried on and spent some more money. LOL

Members of the CMC Copic groups added our blog addresses within the group and on one of the ladies blog there was a link for Wee Stamps. She doesn't have a lot at this point but what she does have are really cute. They are digi's so I decided to try one. Her name is Wee Suzi.
I was inspired for the card layout by Splitcoast stamper tutorial called Criss-cross card.

I have colored her using my Copics and did some addition highlighting with my prisma colored pencils.

The scrolls are cute using my Slice die cutting tool. The flowers are some I had in my collection. I added a little stickles to them for some sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

There are so many bloggers out there I was not sure if I could pull it off when I started this last year. It may not be fancy or the best but I do try and share what I have done in hopes that it may inspire someone.

This special award comes with the rules that I must follow in order to accept this award.

Here are some things about me.

What is old is new again....sort of

Hi Everyone,

Here are a couple of cards that I did for the CMC Challenge. The first one was for part of their birthday celebration week. It was a color challenge using yellow, purple and cream/white.

The stamp that I used is an old Stampendous stamp that has been well used but I haven't used it in a long time. I decided to dust it off and give it a try. I was pleased with how it came out. I colored it with my Copic markers. The little hearts border is a Martha Stewart punch. The swirls were cut with my Slice. The DP is by Prima.

This card is for CMC's bi-monthly challenge. This was to use primary colors (red, green, blue and yellow) and it needed to be a card in celebration. So I pulled out two more old stamps. The balloons are by Peddlers Pack (I think) and the celebrate stamp is by D.O.T.S which has since become CTMH. This was colored with my Copic markers and layered on to matching card stock. The streamers and the word have Sakura glitter pen on them.

Thanks for stopping by,

Bunny Hugs

Isn't she cute? The little tag is hard to read but it says Bundle of Joy. I did this card for a challenge on the CMC blog. You needed to use Pink, Green and White or Cream.

Have a good evening.

Precious Moments Showers

Happy Saturday Everyone,

We survived the massive winds yesterday. I was wondering if we were going to the land of OZ and have the wicked witch under our house when we landed. We were very lucky. There were trees and downed poles and wires all over the county. A very large billboard fell on top of a bowling ally. The billboard was advertising the Powerball Lottery. I guess mother nature was really mad she didn't win and blew it over. All kidding aside thankfully no one was injured.

Here is a card that I have done for Suzanne Dean's CMC challenge.

I used a stamp that I don't think had ever seen ink until this. It is a Precious Moments stamp which they don't even produce the rubber stamps anymore as far as I know.

I have colored her using Copic markers. She is stamped with Memento ink on Cryogen white paper. The background paper is by Brenda Walton.

I added some of my hot glue gun pearls. I also added stickles to the umbrella hearts and glossy accents to the the falling hearts.

Have a great weekend.

Hot Glue Gun Pearls

Hi Everyone and Happy Wednesday,

Ok, I did it. This is my first tutorial video. Be gentle :-). I have written tutorials before but never recorded one. I know there are some bugs in it. I was working with an editing program that I just downloaded. I don't think it's too bad for a first try. I hope you like it and will learn something new from it.

Puppy Love

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

Well we got hit with another overnight snow storm. It was about 5 inches. I am really sick of snow. I think the current ground hog should retire and they replace him because what happen to spring being just around the corner.

Here is a spring looking card. This is Sarah Kay image. I kept it simple.

A couple of swirls cut with my Slice and some pearls .

Here's to hoping spring is just a few days away..... wishful thinking.

Little Chickies

Happy Saturday All,

I have made this card to participate in the Mo's Digital Pencil challenge. This little guy is a digital image by Mo. I have colored him with Copic markers. The back ground is sponged with versa color ink using a Spellbinders Nestie die.

I followed the sketched that was presented at the challenge web site. I used a Fiskars border punch for the border along the image. I made me think a bit of chicken wire.

This little guy was fun to color.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Have a good weekend.

Spring where are you?

Here are a couple of cards that I have done and entered into the CMC Copic Challenge this week.

Both are colored with copic.
Just trying to push spring along.

This was done with a old stamp. I would say a good 14 years old maybe more.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day,

Just a quick card to say may your Valentine's Day be filled with a little extra love today.

As you can see I added a nose and mouth to the magnolia image. My husband always says "were is the kids mouth". I found a blog that gave really good instructions on different ways to add expression.

In case you want to check it out here is the link

You could use this on any image to add the nose and mouth.

Enjoy your day.

I wish we had flowers

Happy Sunday Everyone,

I just love Sarah Kay images. I wish is was warm enough to have flowers growing. Oh well soon enough and we will be out having to cut the grass and weed.

She is colored with copic's. Background paper is Basic Grey's Indian Summer. The large rose is from A.C Moore and the small ones are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Bisque colored liquid pearls were used as well as some ribbon and lace.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Here is a Slide show of a Precious Moments calendar that I made for a very good friend. She loves Precious Moments. All images were colored with Copic markers.

Love

Hi Everyone,

I redid my blog background. I hope you like it. I thought it needed to be spruced up somewhat.

Here is a Valentine card I did using an image by Elisabeth Bell. What ever company she designs for they are always so pretty. I colored her using my copics. The background paper is from Bo Bunny's Crazy Love collection. I cut the image using nestibilities as well as the scallops.

I used my Making Memories Slice Die Cut Machine to cut the word "love" out three time to make it thicker. A pink seam binding for the ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.
