Coffee Anyone?

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone has been having a good week. It has been a very nice week here. We have had a lot of fog lately. We go to sleep to the fog horns blowing and wake up to them. But it's kind of nice. We are about a mile from the river.

My card today is one that I have used a digi image on from a new digi artist. Her shop name is Mayzy Art. She has some really super cute digi images there. She has been filling her shop up with new images just about everyday. And I have to tell you that she has agreed to sponsor The Outlawz CPC challenge. We are very excited. The image is Shawna with Latte. I purchased her as part of a set but you can also purchase her alone. I have colored her with my Copics. I added a little shine to her belt using my glaze pen.

My DP are from Authentique Uncommon collection and My Minds Eye Lost and Found Market Street.

I have layered them on Kraft cardstock and sponged with Tea Dye distress ink.

The "Let's have Coffee" image is from an old Hero Arts set that dates back to 1996. A little bakers twine for texture.

I am very happy with the way the card came out. I hope that you will check out Mayzy shop and The Outlawz. Lots of things going on at both places.

Spring is Here!

Happy Spring Tuesday,

Wow can you believe it, spring is here. Not that we had a bad winter but now the flowers will be in bloom. Some are already. Oh the grass will need cutting, weeds to be pulled, mulch to be put down... hey wait a minute that's a lot of work. Just kidding.

Well today I have a card for you that is Spring, Easter and just plain full all in one.

My image is by Krista Smith of Saturated Canary. I just love her images. They are just fun to color with my Copics.

And look at that little duck is that cute or what?

The papers I have used have such a spring feel to them. They are from K and Company called Watercolor Bouquet. There were so many pretty papers I just couldn't pink one so I did a bit a layering.

I added a little green bakers twine for texture as well as some pretty pink pearls

I also used my dotted stamp to create the background around the image. I made a video on this if you would like to see how I did it. It located on the left side bar of my blog.

Spring Basket

Hello Everyone, I’m here today with another project for the Spring colors theme over at The House of Gilli.

This time I didn’t make a card but a little Easter basket to put some chocolate goodies in. I thought those little Hershey’s kisses with pastel colored foils would be cute.

I have used Gilli Florist for my project today. She fit the bill perfect. With her spring flowers and little basket.

This little basket is simple to make. I have used a piece of 6 x 6 paper from Authentique Uncommon collection. Add a piece of satin ribbon with some brads to hold it all together.

I have colored her with my Copics. I also used my new Cherry Lynne Grass die that I received as a gift from a good friend. I layered 3 on top of each other to give a little depth. The Happy Easter is from a Studio G set stamp with chalk ink. Chalk ink is the best ink for using clear stamps, gives really good coverage.

I colored her shirt and then added white dots to make it a little different.

Humor Card Folio

Hi there everyone,

Hope you have had a great week. My week has went well. We had a couple for really warm nice days here, so I am getting a little bit of spring fever.

Well I will get on with today's Outlawz challenge for you. Yes it is Bugaboo Stella out cruising. Boy don't get in her way she has places to go and people to annoy.

This is a two for one project. Why you ask? Well this is an item that can be useful alone or you can fill it up with cards that you have made and give it as a gift.

This is a project that I taught years ago at our local now gone stamp store. It is really easy to make. I have made a video tutorial for it as well. I hope that you will give it a try. We are also making it an optional part of the Friday Copic/Promarker challenge at The Outlawz.

CARD FOLIO PDF

Isn't Stella a hoot. Can you just see her beeping that little horn at you.

I have colored her with my copics.

I have layered her on some old dotted background paper I had.

I have lined the inside to give it a finished look. This folio can be used to put cards in and give as a gift. You could put coupons in it or even stamped images to take with you to color. The folio's can be found at your local office supply store and discount stores. If you catch them during the "Back to School" sales they are really inexpensive I have seen then as low as 10 cents each. Here is a link for Staples, Office Depot and Office Max so that you can see what you need to look for or order them directly.

Movie Time

Hi there,

Back again today with another card. I just love how this card came out. It's one of those cards that you just started to color the image and the card evolved around it.

The image is by Karen Doodles. I have to confess. It really is half of the image. There is a little boy that goes with it but I messed him up of course after I colored the little girl. Heck I wasn't going to toss it so I cut it out. She is colored using my Copics.

I used a kraft cardstock and dusted off some more old stamps to create the background. I stamped them with Chestnut Roan chalk ink. Love that color goes perfect with the Kraft cardstock.

I have had all of those stamps for at least 10 years maybe even longer.

This little girl is set as far as munchies. Popcorn, candy bars and soda, boy is she going to need a Tums later. LOL

The tickets and matching die are by Paper Trey Ink. This is a very useful set.

I added a little bakers twine and some pearls for texture.

Hi there everyone,

Wow where has the time went. Gosh it seems just yesterday we were finishing up with Christmas and now it's time to think about Easter.

We have a challenge over at TTCRD to help you get started. Yes the challenge this time around is a to create a TAG in a spring or Easter theme.

I made my tag in the large economy size LOL. This would make a great tag to add to a large Easter basket or dinner basket you were giving for Easter.

My image is one that I won from Karen Doodles on their challenge blog. Isn't that bunny just so cute holding onto that carrot.

I have colored him with my Copics. I had to make my tag. I am not a big tag person. I think they look great when others do them but I just don't think mine come out that well.

Happy St Patty's Day

Hi there everyone,

Yes, I know it's not St. Patty's Day yet. But hey it is a party invite. So gotta send them a little early. LOL.

Ok I love doing St. Patty's Day cards. Guess it the Irish in me. Oh yea not to mention it is part of our theme for The Outlawz Copic/Pro Marker challenge this week. St. Patty's/Irish/Green

I love this stamp. I have had it for gosh at least 16 or 17 years. I bought this when I first got into stamping. Do I know who makes it. Nope. I have tried and tried to remember and research to see who made it but cannot. I have a set of Easter stamps from the same place too. I am really sorry I don't have that info for you.

I have colored this jolly leprechaun with my Copic Markers.

The funny thing is when I went to see what "St. Patty's type of paper I had...opps none.

I ended up using a green striped paper that I found and for the green I stamped shamrocks with versa mark to create that piece of paper.

I added a piece of gold shear ribbon along with some gold pearls. At least the pearls are new. LOL

I also added stickles to the band around his hat and his pot of gold.

Hope everyone is safe and sound. Hearing and seeing all the weather reports is just terrible. We had some thunderstorms with winds come through last night but nothing like what many states are getting. Stay safe everyone.

My card today is another easel card. Now that I have found out how to make them I am really liking them. Better late than never.

Of course I am using a Saturated Canary image. Isn't she a cutie. She looks like she is ready to dive right into that cupcake.

The paper is from Imaginisce. For sparkle I added a little stickle to the DP and on her skirt.

I have colored her with my copics. I have used the dotted background to give off that party confetti look behind here. My video on how to do this is on my left sidebar.

I added some more sparkle with my Copic Spica Atyou pen on the cherry and some of the banners.

A little pink and white bakers twine for a little texture.

Men Only

Hello there,

Well it is Friday and that means a Copic/ProMarker challenge at The Outlawz. If you are not a member of The Outlawz. Can I ask what are you waiting for. It's free and what a great bunch of people there.

The theme this week is "Men Only". So this could be just about any type of card or project. Just as long it is a "Men Only" theme and is colored with Copic or ProMarkers. Just a few other rules to follow. They are listing in the post for the week. The Outlawz has some of the best and most generous sponsors.

OK on to my card. If you haven't seen these Bugaboo images before you really should. The Stella collection will make you laugh. The images each come with their funny verse that just makes it.

This is Gus. Stella other half. I like to stay simple with these images as they are so funny and really don't need much.

I have colored Gus with my Copics.

The papers I have used are really some scraps that I have had laying around.

I added a little bit of gloss with my glaze pen to his glasses.

It's Sketch time at TTCRD

Hello Everyone,

I am back again with another challenge card for you. Hope you are having a good week so far. It's getting closer and closer till spring. Today's challenge is a sketch. The sketch kind of lends itself to spring time. But you may think of something different.

The image is by our sponsor Guylou Inimitability. To me she just looked like she should be sitting in a meadow having just picked her daffodil's. Daffodil's are one of some early spring flowers.

I have colored her with my Copics. I grounded her with some grays and then added blades of grass. I created the sky with my trusty "old" All Nite Media cloud template.

My paper is from Stampin Up. Sorry don't know the collection name. Since I don't really like keeping 12x12 paper around I normally cut it to 6x6 size so I no longer have the label.

I used my Cherry Lynn die cut. The flowers are Petaloo.

Gilli Paints The Town Green

Hello Everyone,

I’m here today to share some inspiration for the challenge theme at The House of Gilli. With our theme being Greens there are so many possibilities. Of course you have St. Patty’s Day right around the corner. Oh and then you have green grass which I am sure everyone is waiting to see soon. We would love to see what you come up with. Of course we would love to see you use a Gilli stamp. But if not that’s fine too we love to see your creativity.

Gilli is here to paint the town green.

I have used Gilli Painter to give us a hand with this. I decided to make and easel card. I have cut this with my lifestyles dies.

I have colored Gilli with my copics. I did a little paper piecing on her big bow. It matches the background paper. I have used part of a Cherry Lynn dies for the leafy swirl. A few pearls for that girly look. The word image is one of Gilli’s stamps as well. I thought it worked well with Gilli Painter. For Gilli’s paints I used Liquid Pearls so that it would give it the look of real paints.
